Day 1: Lucknow - Agra

Board train from Lucknow to Agra (Lucknow Swarn Shat Express - 15:35/1913). From train station you will be transferred approximately the 1 hour drive to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital.

Day 2: Agra

We have an early start this morning to visit the legendary Taj Mahal (closed Fridays) to witness a magical sunrise. Built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century as an enduring memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. After our sunrise visit of the Taj, we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls.

Day 3: Agra - Bharatpur

Driving to Bharatpur we stop en-route to visit ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water to support the peoples who resided in the city.


Day 4: Bharatpur

We enjoy a morning and afternoon bird watching in Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

Day 5: Bharatpur - Jaipur

This morning, we travel onto Jaipur for time at leisure.

Day 6: Jaipur

Today, we visit the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride (subject to elephant availability and government regulations) transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Jaipur - Delhi

We drive back to Delhi today.

Day 8: Delhi

Departure transfer to the airport.
