Day 1: Chennai
Welcome to India! We will be there to collect you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Chennai - Pondicherry
This morning you enjoy a half days sightseeing of Chennai. Sightseeing will include the Government Museum, Santhome Cathedral Church, Kapaleshwara Temple and Marina Beach. In the afternoon we depart and drive to Pondicherry (about 4 hours - private vehicle with driver only). Hotel check in and evening at leisure.
Day 3: Pondicherry
This morning you enjoy a visit to Auroville to see the buildings and learn about the Community and Aurobindo Ashram. This afternoon is at free to explore this small town on your own.
Day 4: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram
Today we travel to Mahabalipuram (about 3 hours drive - private vehicle with driver only). Arriving we enjoy an afternoon half day city sightseeing that includes Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance and Five Rathas.
Day 5: Mahabalipuram - Chennai
Today we travel by road from Mahabalipuram to Chennai. (About 1.5 hours, Private vehicle with driver only). On the way we stop to visit Kanchirapuram (Including Ekambareshwar Temple, Kailashanath Temple, Kamakshi Temple, Brihadisvara Temple and see the Silk weaving process). Later continue to Chennai. On arrival we then transfer to you the hotel in Chennai.
Day 9: Chennai - Salem
Trivandrum Express (12697) – depart Chennai – 15:15 hours Arrive Salem: 1945 hours. (train station transfers at Salem will be provided by the hotel on complimentary basis). Overnight - Cenneys Gateways.
Day 12: Salem - Chennai
Kovai Express - Departure Salem – 1640 arrival Chennai – 2140 – AC Chair car. The Pride Hotel Chennai for 2 nights
