Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Delhi - Alsisar

Today, we drive to the semi-desert Shekhawati region. The small towns in this region became important trading posts, a lasting legacy of which are the beautiful painted havelis (mansions) constructed by wealthy merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore the village and its lovely old buildings.

Day 3: Alsisar - Bikaner

Driving further into the Thar Desert we arrive at the small town of Gajner (Bikaner District) Enjoy time to explore the palatial buildings and gardens of your hotel.

Day 4: Bikaner - Jaisalmer

Driving through the Rajasthani Thar desert we arrive at the medieval caravan outpost of Jaisalmer, one of the jewels in India’s crown. Exquisite wood and sandstone buildings dot the town and within Jaisalmer Fort are homes, hotels and shops hidden in ancient laneways. This evening enjoy a camel safari to see the glorious sunset over the rolling sand dunes. OVERNIGHT: Jaisal Villas

Day 5: Jaisalmer

Today enjoy exploring this ancient city with our expert guide which includes visits to the incredible Jaisalmer Fort, the Jain temples and some of the many Havelis in town. This evening enjoy New Years Eve celebrations at the hotel. OVERNIGHT: Jaisal Villas

Day 6: Jaisalmer - Manvar

Happy New Year, Welcome 2014! Leaving Jaisalmer we continue our journey through the Thar Desert to the small town of Manvar. After check into your hotel, you will head out for a jeep safari and camel ride in the desert unique to the area. You will also pay a visit to the Bishnoi village and meet the locals whom have a very unique cultural ethos to all other ethnic groups of India.

Day 7: Manvar - Jodhpur

An interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo.

Day 8: Jodhpur

This morning we'll enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort, Umaid Bhawan Museum, the city’s tall clock tower. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the markets.

Day 9: Jodhpur - Udaipur

Leaving Jodhpur, we drive to Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. After plenty of time to explore, we continue to your hotel in Udaipur and in the evening you will be taken for a romantic boat ride to see the sunset on the lake.

Day 10: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake and is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari gardens the afternoon is then at your leisure, or perhaps you would like a pre booked visit to the Monsoon Palace? Day 11: Udaipur - Deogarh

Making our way back into rural Rajasthan today we drive to Deogarh. In the cooler evening air, you will be escorted out on a walking visit to some of the surrounding villages.

Day 12: Deogarh - Pushkar

Today we journey to the lovely lakeside town of Pushkar. Enjoy the afternoon to explore the ancient temples and buildings all built around what is considered one of india's most sacred ponds.

Day 13: Pushkar - Jaipur

Day 14: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we'll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Day 15: Jaipur - Ranthambhore NP

Today we have a 3-4 hour drive to Ranthambhore National Park. We check-in, freshen up and then venture out for an evening game drive. Ranthambhore NP is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan.

Day 16: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park today. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.


Day 17: Ranthambhore NP - Bharatpur

This morning we drive to Bharatpur - home to Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Rated as one of the finest bird reserves in the world, over 350 species of birds have been identified at the park. Arriving here, time is at your leisure to explore.


Day 18: Bharatpur - Agra

Today we travel by rickshaw and enjoy some bird watching at Keoladeo National Park. After, we drive to Agra making one stop along the way to visit the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water.

Day 19: Agra

Today we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Later on we take a motorised buggy to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunset. Built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century as an enduring memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers.

Day 20: Agra - Delhi

This morning we return to the city of Delhi. This afternoon enjoy time to go shopping for last minute souvenirs.

Day 21: Delhi

This morning we’ll enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. We then head to the airport for your flight homeward bound.
