Day 1: Kochi

Arrive into Kochi You will be met by our representative and driver on arrival and transferred by a private vehicle to your hotel.

Day 2: Kochi

This morning after breakfast you will have a half day city tour of Kochi, later you are free at leisure to explore this lovely town or just relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 3: Kochi - Alleppey

This morning after breakfast we head towards Alleppey, Our private rice-boat takes us sedately along the enchanting palm-fringed backwaters, covering a distance of some 20 kms, during which time the boat glides past local villages and interesting scenes of everyday rural life. Watch a beautiful sunset over the backwaters and enjoy tasty meals (starting with a late lunch) prepared by the onboard chef using fresh local produce.

Day 4: Alleppey - Munnar

This morning after breakfast onboard we disembark the boat and drive to Munnar. Upon arrival you will have the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Munnar

Munnar is a picturesque hill station nestled on the verdant slopes of tea plantations. Located at a lofty height of 1600m, Munnar in South India offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills carpeted with tea plantations. From many locations in Munnar, one can view Anamudi (2695m), South India’s highest peak. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or explore the area. The next morning we’ll visit a tea plantation, where we learn about the various stages of tea processing.

Day 6: Munnar - Thekkady

Today we drive to Thekkady which is enchanting as the road winds through tranquill countryside, rich plantations & thick jungles. The sanctuary, 60 km from Idukki, 190 km from Cochin and 114 km away from Kottayam is open throughout the year. Later today we will take a boat ride on Periyar river. Thekkady consists of elephants, thick jungle, hills and spice scented plantations. There are many opportunities for hiking to the surrounding hill towns. Thekkady is also home to one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, Periyar National Park.

Day 7: Thekkady - Madurai

This morning we head towards Madurai - upon arrival we check in to the hotel and have the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Madurai

Today we have a full day sightseeing tour where we will visit Visit Meenakshi Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Mahal, Evening ceremony at Meenakshi Temple, Temple Museum.

Day 9: Madurai

Today is the end of your southern Indian adventure.
