The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. Upon your arrival into Delhi's international airport you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel for check in with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Delhi

Our full day guided sightseeing tour of Delhi today covers the colourful chaos of Old Delhi and the modern simplicity of New Delhi. This vibrant city is full of forts, monuments, temples, mosques and more. During the 16th and 17th centuries, Delhi was important centre of the Mughal dynasty and the British made it the capital city in 1911. We take in Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, the bustling bazaar, as well as the Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru. In New Delhi we visit India Gate, Rasthrapati Bhawan, Parliament House and Humayun’s Tomb.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi this morning we transfer you by road to Agra. Enjoy a guided visit to Agra fort, built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565, which contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. This evening we visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunset. Enjoy your own time to explore this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love as well as a guided tour of the grounds.

Day 4: Agra - Ranthambhore NP

This morning we transfer to Ranthambhore National Park. En route we stop at the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Proceed to Ranthambhore for check in and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park.


Day 6: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur

After our final morning game drive we will depart from this wonderful park, hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. Today we will head to Jaipur.

Day 7: Jaipur

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! We then enjoy a city tour including the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire, and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.

Day 8: Jaipur - Mumbai

Departing Jaipur this morning we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Mumbai (6E 295 - 1315 / 1500) where upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 9: Mumbai

Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive.

Day 10: Mumbai - Kochi

This morning we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Kochi (6E 224 - 1120 / 1300) where upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 11: Kochi

This commercial city, also called “The Queen of the Arabian Sea” is famous for its exquisite designer Gold Jewelry. The Indian Navy, the Port and the Airport share the largely man-made Willingdon Island. The touring today includes the visit to Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese for a local King in 1555 A.D. The famous Jew Street, a cul-de-sac leading to the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568. A walking tour of Fort Cochin will take you through the streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch & British colonial architecture, including a few old trading factories, the only ones still standing anywhere in the world. After a rest in the afternoon we will take you to see a Kathakali dance performance the traditional dance is dated back 400 Years.

Day 12: Kochi - Alleppey

This morning a short drive from Kochi to Allepey brings you to board your house boat. Sit back enjoy the cozy comfort of a moving boat watch the country side, ancient Champakulam church and taste local Kuttanadan dishes.

Day 13: Alleppey - Mararikulam

After breakfast, you'll disembark from the houseboat and be transferred to your hotel at Maraikulam. Check in with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Days 14-15: Mararikulam

Sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply kick back and enjoy some fresh fruit cocktails served on a silver platter.

Day 16: Mararikulam

Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in time for your onward departure flight.
