Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax or explore the secrets of the city's Mughal past in the labyrinthine streets of Old Delhi and the wide open spaces of imperial New Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi - Mathura & Vrindavan

Morning transfer to Mathura -- Arrival and we transfer you to your hotel. The driver and car will be at your disposal to explore Vrindavan and Mathura and it's sacred sites (NO GUIDE)

Day 3: Mathura & Vrindavan - Khajuraho

Morning transfer to the train station for the -Shatabdi express - 07:30 / 10:30 Air condition chair car. Arrival in Jhansi at time specified and we will transfer you to Khajuraho. Afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Chandela Dynasty temples built between 950-1050 AD. Immortalised in stone, the carved temples depict Indian life a millennium ago, including erotic scenes from the Kama Sutra.

Day 4: Khajuraho - Lucknow

Today we have a long drive to our next destination, Lucknow. Travelling through India by road offers a fascinating window onto another world so sit back, relax and enjoy the journey, soaking in the amazing sights and sounds as you make your way. Arrive and we check into your hotel.

Day 5: Lucknow

The city of Nawabs, as Lucknow is sometimes known as, is the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in India. The city has a glorious history and has been known as the cultural centre of Northern India for over two centuries. You will get insight into that today on a full day guided tour included such highlights as Bara Imambara, The Residency, Rumi Darwaza, Chota Imambara, Sikandar Bagh and more or less depending on time.

Day 6: Lucknow - Allahabad

Continuing our journey we drive in the morning onward to Allahabad which is around 5-6 hours. Afternoon we enjoy a highlights tour which will include the ghats on the confluence of the 3 sacred rivers and the historic fort built by Akbar in 1583, which stands at the confluence on the Yamuna side, has massive walls and contains an Ashoka pillar and three magnificent gateways flanked by high towers It is most impressive when viewed from the river.

Day 7: Allahabad - Varanasi

When ready we set off to Varanasi which will be around a 3 hours drive. Arrival and check into your hotel. This evening your guide will take you to the riverside to see the ritual evening ceremony in worship of the holy river Ganga.

Day 8: Varanasi

Early this morning we enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges to view the sunrise and the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the ghats (riverside steps). Enjoy a tour of the city, with its numerous temples and wonderful historic feel; with time later to relax.

Day 9: Varanasi - Bodhgaya

TOday when you are ready we drive to BODHGAYA which is Bihar’s capital city and is a great centre of pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists as Lord Vishnu according to legend gave GAYA, a celestial being the power to absolve sinners and send them to heaven. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 10: Bodhgaya

Enjoy a full day tour including Vishnupad Temple, Mahabodhi Temple, Archaeological Museum and the Buddisht site of DHUDESHWARI or SUJATA STHAN.

Day 11: Bodhgaya

Drive to Patna Airport - Flight to Delhi AI 408 - 1515 / 1650 -/- Arrive Delhi and transfer to other terminal flight to Chennai SG 309 - 1910 / 2150. Arrive Chennai end of our arrangements.
