Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Tonight you board your overnight train to Jaisalmer (ETD 1630).
This morning we collect you from the station when you arrive in about 1105. You will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Today enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city including the sandstone fort which is an imposing sight, towering magnificently over the city. Later this afternoon we will take you on an exciting camel safari on the Sam sand dunes. The evening is free and at your leisure to enjoy the city on your own.
Today, we travel to Jodhpur, the Blue City, in reference to the indigo coloured buildings that dot the old city, and the locals belief that blue acts as effective defence against mosquitoes!
Today you will enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower. This afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy your hotels facilities or further exploration of the city.
Today we travel about 5 hours to the romantic city of Udaipur. The rest of the day at leisure. You have a New Years Eve Dinner at the hotel this evening.
This morning will consist of an orientation and sightseeing tour of Udaipur - including the City Palace and museum - before having a few hours in the afternoon to explore for yourselves. This evening you will take ride in an shared boat on Lake Pichola itself.
Day at leisure - without vehicle. Enjoy a free day to explore the temples, bathing ghats, onion shaped domes and chalk coloured buildings of Pushkar at your leisure. On your exploration you are sure to see plenty of Sadhus (spiritual men) and chilled out travellers as this is an important pilgrimage centre.
Today we make our way to Jaipur, around 4 hours. En route we will also pay a visit to the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area. Free evening without vehicle - perhaps visit colourful bazaars.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Rest of the evening is free and at your leisure.
Today we return by road to Delhi, about 5 hours. Free evening without vehicle.
Today we bis you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight (Hotel check out midday).
