Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! Arrive Delhi, included transfer to hotel. The remainder of the day offers free time.

Day 2: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur

Today, we drive to Jaipur. Affectionately known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. We enjoy a tour of the City Palace, (watch out for snake charmers that dot our route) and Jantar Mantar - an old yet cleverly designed space observatory.

Day 4: Jaipur

Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.

Day 5: Jaipur - Agra

En route to Agra, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. In Agra, we visit the impressive Agra Fort before touring the legendary Taj Mahal and witnessing a glorious golden sunset.

Day 6: Agra - Varanasi

Today we transfer to Delhi airport for your flight to Varanasi. Arrival transfer to your hotel. This evening your guide will taker you to the riverside steps to see the ritual worship of the Holy River Ganges.

Day 7: Varanasi

Sunrise morning boat ride on the Ganges. Later return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast half day sightseeing of the holy city which includes a walk through the various Ghats, Old Park, Kashi Viswanath Temple and a drive through Benaras Hindu University.

Day 8: Varanasi - Chennai

Today you fly to Chennai -Arrival transfer to your hotel. (Flight is Via Mumbai - Depart Varanasi 11:15 Arrive Chennai 19:00)

Chennai Sadhu

Day 9: Chennai - Pondicherry

Morning city tour that includes a vist to St George Fort, built in 1653 and St Mary’s Church, the oldest British church in India. Afternoon drive to Pondicherry - Free to visit and explore at your leisure.

Day 10: Pondicherry - Goa

Returning to Chennai airport you fly to Goa (Flight leaves at 15:45) - Arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 11: Goa

Enjoy a free day to explore Goa.

Day 12: Goa - Mumbai

Taking to the sky once more you fly on the evening flight to Mumbai - Arrival transfer to your hotel.

Gateway to India

Day 13: Mumbai

Today we embark on a glittering city tour, with a morning visit to the cave temples of Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries. In the afternoon visit the Prince of Wales museum, Marine Drive and the Mani Bhawan Jain temple.

Day 14: Mumbai

Our tour concludes after breakfast. Goodbye India! Included departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home
