Every day in Mumbai 4000 men in uniform transport some 175,000 lunches across the city, retrieving Tiffins (lunch containers) of food from mothers and wives to deliver them by any means possible to the office buildings of their family. Enjoy a mid-morning visit to Mahalaxmi Station to witness this spectacle first-hand. We then explore the Mumbai Dhobi Ghats which are considered the world’s largest outdoor laundry. Other highlights on our tour will be Gateway of India, Secretariat, Marine Drive, Mani Bhavan,Victoria Terminus, Crawford market and the Flora Fountain.
This morning we transport you to visit Haji Ali Dargah which is a mosque and Dargah (tomb) located on an islet off the coast of Worli in the Southern part of Mumbai, no guide will be provided however transport to and from is.
This morning early we bring you to the airport for your 9W 7178 - 07:45 / 09:45 Flight to Jaipur. Arriving into the Pink City, our friendly local team are on hand to assist you and then drive you onto your hotel in Ajmer. This afternoon without a guide we take you to explore the Sufi shrine of Dargah Sharif. (OVERNIGHT Hotel Merwera Estate)

An exotic elephant ride transports us on our morning exploration to the lofty 16th century Amber Fort. The afternoon is spent touring the City Palace containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate!
En route on our drive to Agra a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and examples of everyday living such as areas from where ablutions were performed, to an ancient aqua cooling system and marvel at how life must have been for the inhabitants of this old city. Celebrate New Years Eve Agra style!
Happy New Year! The start of the new year leads you on a tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal with transport by horse cart, also known as a Tonga. After breakfast, visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! We then drive to Delhi, arriving in the evening.
Today's journey of discovery includes fascinating highlights of both Old and New Delhi, including Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial) drive past President’s House, Parliament House and Secretariat buildings, visit Raj Ghat, drive past Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Thisa afternoon we also visit the resting place of one of the world's most famous Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya this site is called Nizamuddin Dargah.
Today is at your leisure to explore the city in your own time and pace.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
