Welcome to India. Our local representative will meet you at Surat Airport and transfer you to the Hotel Royal Regency in Navsari.
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport in Surat for your onward flight to Delhi, arriving in the late afternoon where our local representative will greet you and assist with the transfer to the Suyraa Hotel.
It is an early start this morning for your transfer to the train station for the 6.00 departure to Agra. You will be met off the train and begin a busy day taking in the wonderful sights in and around Agra starting with the ghostly city of Fatehpur Sikri. We return in Agra to visit the Agra Fort, and enjoy sunset at India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal, There will be some free time to explore the local markets before boarding the train back to Delhi.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City but both are just as appealing. Take in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation, Qutub Minar, Humayun's tomb and Lutyen's buildings. This evening visit Akshardam, a breathtaking temple and a wonderful example of ancient India architecture.
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to the Jaipur; affectionately known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales. After checking into the Shahpura House Hotel, the rest of the afternoon is free to relax.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city including the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.
This morning you board the 7.55 flight via Mumbai to Kochi, arriving mid afternoon. Our local team will meet you in the arrivals area and transfer you to the Killians Boutique Hotel. After time to freshen up and relax, this evening enjoy a Kathakali dance performance, a traditional dance dating back over 400 years.
This commercial city, also called “The Queen of the Arabian Sea” is famous for its exquisite designer gold jewellery. This mornings tour in Kochi includes a visit to Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese for a local King in 1555 A.D; the famous Jew Street, a cul-de-sac leading to the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, and St Francis church, built 1503 and the oldest European church in India. This afternoon we drive to Munnar and check in to the Tea County Hotel located in the picturesque hills.
Today enjoy a morning visit to the tea plantations to experience how the growing process works. This afternoon is at your leisure to explore, wander and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings.
This morning, visit a tea factory and museum to learn more about the processes of producing tea, and sample of cup of India's finest! This afternoon we travel to Kumarakom and check into The Park on Vembanand Lake.
Today is free for independent activities, perhaps consider visiting the nearby Bird sanctuary which can be arranged locally.
This morning board a simply furnished private rice boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Alleppey. Crewed by a poler to push the rice boat through the water, a distance of some 20 kms will be covered, during which time the boat will glide past colourful local villages. As for dining, the on board cook will prepare meals using fresh local produce.
This morning after breakfast on board, we transfer you back to Kochi to board the 1405 flight to Bangalore. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to the Royal Orchid Central Hotel.
Today you bid farewell to India. Our local team will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
