The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like. (Early check in will be requested upon booking but the same is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed unless paying for another night at the hotel)

Day 2: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon we further enhance your exploration of this bustling city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub Minar.

Day 3: Delhi

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 4: Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, we journey 5 hours to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving, we visit Agra Fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! This evening your guide will take you by car (not horse cart) to the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Day 5: Agra

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 6: Agra - Ranthambhore NP

En route a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and examples of everyday living such. We then go to the station in Bharatpur to get the train to Ranthambore (Kota Janshatabdi 1550/1802 hrs) Arriving here, your will be driven to your lodge.

Day 7: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park in shared jeeps or canters. This evening enjoy a scrumptious Christmas Eve dinner.

Day 8: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur

After our final morning game drive we will depart from this wonderful park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. Today we will head to Jaipur.

Day 9: Jaipur

This morning enjoy your included Balloon ride over the city (Weather Dependent). Afterwards explore Jaipur on a guided sightseeing tour including the amazing Amber Fort, the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar Observatory.

Day 10: Jaipur - Varanasi

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi (Via Delhi) -- S2 3250 0700/0750 hrs -- Arrive Delhi and change planes -- AI 406 1030/1145 hrs -- Arriving into Varanasi, our local team are on hand to meet you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 11: Varanasi

This morning enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Later, embark on a tour of the Vishvanath and Durga Temples.

Days 12-14: Varanasi

Day 15: Varanasi - Kochi

Today you head south, our Varanasi team will be sure to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight to Kochi (Via Mumbai). Arriving into Kochi you will be driven to your hotel.

Day 16: Kochi

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. Afternoon/evening free.

Day 17: Kochi - Munnar

A drive east to to Munnar - a quaint hill station nestled on the verdant slopes of tea plantations, that exudes a rare old world charm and reminds one of the days of the Raj in its elegant splendour. At a height of 1525 metres, Munnar offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Stops can be made along the way to take photos as you wish. This afternoon enjoy a guided walk around tea plantations to photograph tea pickers and the landscape, we also visit a tea museum to taste a cup of Indian finest.

Day 18: Munnar

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 19: Munnar - Thekkady

This morning transfer to your hotel in Periyar National Park (No hotels in the very centre of town - your hotel is a short rickshaw ride away or short walk)

Day 20: Thekkady

This morning enjoy an included boat ride on Lake Periyar to spot herds of wild elephants.


Day 21: Thekkady - Alleppey

This morning drive to Alleppey and board a simply furnished private rice-boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Alleppey. Crewed by a poler to push the rice boat through the water, a distance of some 20 kms will be covered, during which time the boat will glide past colourful local villages. As for dining, the on-board cook will prepare meals using fresh local produce.

Day 22: Alleppey - Kochi

After breakfast, you'll disembark from the houseboat and be transferred to your hotel in Kochi.

Day 23: Kochi

Sadly your journey concludes with a transfer to the airport for your flight home.
