Spot the chitals

Day 1: Nagpur - Pench NP

Welcome to Nagpur! When you arrive we will be there to meet you and transfer you to Pench National Park.

Day 2: Pench NP

Pench National park, nestling in the lower southern reaches of the Satpura Hills is named after Pench river. Pench National Park, comprising of 758 SQ Kms, out of which a core area of 299 sq km is the national park and and remaining 464 sq km is the buffer area. Today enjoy a Morning and afternoon game drive in the national park.


Day 3: Pench NP - Kanha NP

Enjoy a morning game drive in the national park. Later today we will drive you to Kanha national park and transfer you to your hotel on arrival. Later we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the national park.

Keeping watch

Day 4: Kanha NP

Kanha is one of India’s largest parks, covering 1945 sq. km of forest and lightly wooded grassland. This is the land that Kipling wrote so vividly about in his literary classic ‘Jungle Book’. Kanha National Park has a tremendous variety of wildlife - including the Bengal tiger, leopard, sambar, chital, blackbuck, gaur, swamp deer and jackal. Today enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in the national park.


Day 5: Kanha NP - Jhansi

After our morning game drive and some time relaxing at the lodge we depart destined for Jabalpur around three hours drive. We then travel by overnight sleeper to train Jhansi.

Day 6: Jhansi - Orchha

Arriving into Jhansi around 04:15 am we are there to meet you and drive short distance onward to Orchha. Situated on the banks of the River Betwa, Orchha is set amongst a wonderful complex of well-preserved 16th century temples and palaces which you will see upclose with an afternoon tour.

Day 7: Orchha - Khajuraho

Travelling south-east, we arrive in Khajuraho - home of the resplendent Hindu temples which were built during the Chandela dynasty over a 100 year burst of creative genius from 950-1050 AD. Adding to the beauty, these amazing temples subtly change hue as the day progresses, passing from a warm pink at sunrise to white under the midday sun and back to pink at sunset. Enjoy a full afternoon touring of the site.

Day 8: Khajuraho - Varanasi

Morning free time to revisit the site. This afternoon we bid farewell to Khajuraho and fly east to Varanasi. Perhaps the holiest city in India; Varanasi, also known as Benares or the city of Shiva, is also one of the oldest cities on earth. Sitting on the banks of the holy River Ganges, it has been a centre of learning and civilisation for more than 2000 years and is a place of Hindu pilgrimage.

Days 9-10: Varanasi

For today and tommorow free time in Varanasi to visit Project Mela at your own arrangments.

Day 11: Varanasi - Delhi

Enjoy your last day in Varanasi. This evening we will coolect from your hotel and transfer to the station for your overnight sleeper train to Delhi.


Day 12: Delhi

Welcome back to Delhi. On arrival at 07:40 am we have a room booked for check in at noon this is in an airport area so you can freshen up perhaps do some shopping in the city before your later flight home.

Day 13: Delhi

We will transfer you to the airport for your 03:30 am flight back to the UK.
