Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat, the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Departing Delhi, we journey 5hrs to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving, we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison!
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Returning to Delhi and check-into our Hotel.
Travelling on, we drive to beautiful Nainital today. Nainital is a glittering jewel in the Himalayan necklace, blessed with scenic beauty and abundant in wildlife. Dotted with lakes, Nainital has earned the name of 'Lake District' of India. Arrival and check into our hotel. Remainder of today at leisure.
Today and tomorrow, we get to experience the scenic beauty of this area. We will cycle to Mongoli (around 12kms) as well as stunning Sattal with its (around 25kms).
Travelling onto Corbett National Park via Kaladhungi today (Corbett is 60kms and Kaladhungi is 30kms - mostly down hill with some flat stretches after Kaladhungi). Arrive Corbett and transfer to our Hotel. This afternoon we enjoy a game drive.
The star attraction of the park is the tiger, as well as cats such as the leopard, the jungle cat and the fishing cat. The park is also the home for scores of other animals, from the deer to the Indian Grey Mongoose. With over 580 species, rare migratory birds that regularly visit the park. Today we enjoy a morning Elephant ride and afternoon game drive.
This morning we have our final elephant ride to catch the last glimpses of wildlife. This afternoon we drive back to Delhi.
Today we bid farewell to India. Transfer to Delhi International Airport for our flight back home.
