Narlai Holidays

Narlai Travel

The location of Narlai has been of much importance due to the flora and fauna that has grown there. It lies in between Udaipur and Jodhpur.

Narlai is one amongst the lesser known destinations of Rajasthan and as a result is a less touristy place to visit. Also known as Rawal Narlai, Narlai is situated at the foot of the Aravali Hills. The place is dotted with caves and temples which are the most attractive features of Narlai. Rawals in the area are essentially homes of the village chiefs. This is one of the most beautiful yet under rated destinations and it is possible to trek into the Aravali Hills.

The temple of Adinath is very old and the outer ‘Mandap’ of the temple has beautiful mural paintings on its ceiling which still retain their original splendour. Opposite Rawla Narai hotel is a mammoth granite rock with a small temple on top. There is also a good baori (step-well) in Narlai and several old temples.

The beautiful Jain temples of Ranakpur close by, as is Kumbalgarh Fort, built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century and is the second most important fort in Rajasthan after the Chittorgarh Fort.

The Fortress of Narlai offers amazing views of the single volcanic rock and is dotted with caves and temples.
