Welcome to India and the start of your romantic honeymoon! Arrive Delhi and you local rep will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Late afternoon we transfer you to a wonderful family home cum cooking school to learn about North India cuisine then bonus you get to eat it.
Free morning to explore Delhi - Afternoon departing Delhi, we journey 5hrs by private car to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving we enjoy a guided tour and free time to witness the romantic sun set at the magnificent Taj Mahal. (Taj is closed on Friday so cannot be visited tomorrow morning)
After breakfast we drive to Jaipur first make a stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. Arrive at your hotel. Free time this evening.
Today we travel beyond Jaipur to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. This evening we will take you to a wonderful family home cum cooking school to learn about the regional cuisine and how to cook it.
This morning you drive to Ranthambore National Park. Arrival and check in then you head out on your first safari in a shred jeep or canter to spot the parks wildlife and hopefully a Bengal tiger!
Today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Between game drives you have plenty of time to relax at the lodge and enjoy the facilities.
After our final morning game drive we will depart from this wonderful park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. Today we will head to Shahpura Bagh. Arrival and check into your rooms.
Enjoy the day at Shahpura Bagh to explore and enjoy more of rural India we will note to the kitchens an interest in cuisine so I am sure the chef will be touch for you to learn a little more about regional food.
Taking to the road we journey to Jodhpur through increasingly varied scenery. Arriving in Jodhpur enjoy the afternoon to explore at leisure.
After a morning exploring the city we drive to Narlai for your two night stay at the 17th century fortress. Arrival and check in to your room that is adorned with beautiful ornate furnishings.
Today you can enjoy various optional activities like back country horse riding, Trekking or Rock Climbing (payable locally) Rawla Narlai is a hotel located in the heart of a typical Rajasthan village bustling with activity and bursting with colour so head out and explore and have a true authentic Indian experience. This evening we have booked for you a romantic dinner located at the ancient step well of Narlai.
Today you drive to Mt Abu. Along the way enjoy time to explore Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. Arriving in Mt Abu check into your historic town in the scenic natural environment.
Mt Abu is an amazing authentic lesser visited by tourists town enjoy the day to explore at leisure and get an insight into a bit of real India.
Morning drive to Udaipur. After check in some leisure time to relax. This evening we drive half hour to the Monsoon Palace to witness sunset and experience the magic atmosphere at twilight.
This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari. This evening we will take you to a wonderful family home cum cooking school to learn about the regional cuisine and how to cook it.
This morning you fly to Mumbai- Arrival transfer to your hotel. Late this afternoon embark upon further exploration of the city, visiting the Afghani Church and the holy Banganga Tank - an ancient water tank built over a freshwater spring under the Silhara dynasty in the 14th century. This evening enjoy a leisurely horse and buggy ride along Marine Drive toward Chowpatty beach.
Today we embark on a glittering city tour, with a morning visit to the cave temples of Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries. In the afternoon visit the Prince of Wales museum, Marine Drive and the Mani Bhawan Jain temple.
Flying south to the former Portuguese enclave of Goa so you can enjoy some fun in the sun. Arrival transfer included to your hotel.
