Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.
This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. An early morning start - straight after breakfast we will drive 4 hours to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! After check in at the hotel enjoy a guided tour of and watching the romantic sunset over the Taj Mahal itself.
Enjoy the day to to further explore Agra at your leisure (Hotel check out 12 noon bags can be left at the hotel) Late afternoon we will transfer you to the train station for the sleeper train into central India tiger land to a town called Katni. (Gondwana Express - DEP 1730 / ARR 0500+1) We have included a packed dinner from Agra for you to enjoy on the train.
Arriving in at 5:00 am our local driver will meet you and transfer you straight to your accommodations in Bandhavgarh NP. This afternoon you will enjoy your first game drive in the park.
Bandhavgarh is set amidst the Vindhyan ranges. Claiming to have the highest density population of Bengal tiger in India, coupled with a population of leopard, nilgai, jackal, wild boar, sloth bear, gaur, sambar deer and colourful bird life, game drives are often peppered with sightings. For today and tomorrow enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in shared jeeps.
After our final morning and afternoon game drive we will depart from this wonderful park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. Evening transfer to Katni station for the overnight train to Jaipur. (Dayodaya Express - DEP 2150 / ARR 1150+1) Please note that check out from the lodge will be 12 noon however you will be able to enjoy the facilities of the hotel between game drives.
Your train arrives into Jaipur to the start of a new day and the gathering hustle and bustle. Our rep will be waiting for you, but make sure you take a moment to try some chai, hot tea from one of the vendors, before transferring to your hotel.
This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies. The morning we make our by car 4 hours to Ranthambhore National Park. This is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. Sprawling across an area of some 1334 sq. kms, the park boasts an impressive 10th century fort. In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer and a variety of birds. After check in formalities enjoy your first game drive in a shared canter.
For today and tomorrow enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. In between game drives you can relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel. Alternately the hotel often organises excursions at a nominal cost to local villages or other interesting highlights available in the area.
This morning we enjoy one last game drive before we take you to the train station for your onward train to Jodhpur (Inter city express - DEP 1400 / ARR 2200 Seating Class = AC Chair car) On arrival we will take you to your hotel for the night.
Jodhpur is a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo. We’ll enjoy half day touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower.
Leaving Jodhpur, we drive to Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. We’ll enjoy some exploration here (no guide with you) When ready we then continue onto Udaipur arriving here simply check into your hotel and relax.
Udaipur is a favourite amongst travellers, it is crammed full of palaces and temples. Today we’ll enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola, plus touring of the imposing City Palace, not to mention free time to explore and perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani souvenirs and Indian spices.
An interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Pushkar. Arriving here check into your hotel and head straight out to enjoy the spectacle of the camel fair that takes place annually.
Enjoy the full day to enjoy the festivities you have a car at your disposal for this purpose.
Morning or afternoon set off to Ajmer here you can enjoy a bit of free time to explore before boarding the train to Delhi. (Ajmer shatabadi Express - DEP 1600 / ARR 2300 seating class = AC Chair Car) Arrival in Delhi and meet our local rep for transfer to your hotel.

Today you return to Delhi for your last day/night in this bustling capital. Today is the day to shop till you drop! we are giving you a free day to roam and explore the city until your heart is content and your wallets empty. All your friends back home expectant of gifts will lead you to many of Delhi's great souvenir shops.
Bid a fond farewell to India our local rep will take you to the airport in time for your flight home.
