Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India and the start of your eye-opening adventure! Our friendly team will be waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Delhi

Today enjoy sightseeing of Delhi both new and old with visits to the battlemented Red Fort - built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - a marble memorial marking the spot where the great leader- Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination. We also visit Humayun’s Tomb and India's largest mosque, Qutab Minar.

Day 3: Delhi

Today we will take you to see some of the more real sides of Delhi allowing plenty of time for taking photos of street vendors, residential streets, bazaars and more, all depending on your interest our driver and guide will be with you and have in-depth knowledge of where to take you.

Day 4: Delhi - Udaipur

This morning we head off to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. Arriving here, meet our guide who will take you to your hotel.

Day 5: Udaipur

This morning will consist of an orientation and sightseeing tour of Udaipur - including the incredible City Palace and museum - before having a few hours in the afternoon to explore for yourselves. Later, we head to the Monsoon Palace where you have incredible views of the lake and city down below.

Day 6: Udaipur - Narlai

This morning we drive to Kumbalgarh fort where you have time to explore at leisure without a guide. The driver will then take you on a drive through stunning rural India to Narlai. Along the way we can make stops at quaint villages to take photos and meet the locals.

Day 7: Narlai

Narlai is a wonderful little village that you can explore today at your leisure. Your hotel is an ancient hunting lodge which has renovated to be a fantastic historic hotel.

Day 8: Narlai - Jodhpur

This morning we continue our journey today to Jodhpur. Arriving here, settle into your hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 9: Jodhpur

Today we will enjoy a full day touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower.

Day 10: Jodhpur - Jaipur

MUM & DAD -- Today we drive you to Jaipur also known as the 'Pink City' along the way stopping to explore the holy pilgrimage town of Pushkar which has ancient temples and streets for you to explore (no guide) - Continue to jaipur and check into the Self Catering Apartment. 2 KIDS WITH PARTNERS (4 in total) -- Welcome to India! Arriving at Delhi Airport, you will be met by our friendly local team and driven to Jaipur and check into the self catering apartment to meet up with Mum & Dad.

Day 11: Jaipur

Enjoy a morning to catch up. This afternoon we take a visit to Sanganer, a beautiful town just 20km from Jaipur city. Its charm lies in its palatial ruins and the magnificent Jain temple structures, there is also plenty of free time to wander around or shop for the famous handmade paper of Rajhastan.

Day 12: Jaipur

Today an exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty 16th century Amber Fort on our morning tour. Later we explore the City Palace containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate!

Day 13: Jaipur

Today we head out of the city to visit the small town of Tonk, this overlooked little town is bursting at the seams with Old Havelis (mansions) Palaces and Mosques. A particular highlight is The Sunehri Kothi which is one of the best preserved Havelis in the country! This afternoon, we have arranged a cooking session at a family home which will introduce you to delicious Rajasthani and Indian delights, highlighting the local flavours and styles of cooking, You will learn about the special ingredients, where they come from and how they are used. Day 14: Jaipur

Happy Birthday Mr Perton! Enjoy a day for your family celebrations. Later in the day we will take you to your chosen restaurant for a birthday dinner, upon conclusion we transfer back to your apartment.

Day 15: Jaipur

Today is at your leisure to explore the city in your own time.

Day 16: Jaipur - Agra

ALL PASSENGERS -- Today we drive to Agra, along the way stopping to explore the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Arriving in Agra, visit the incredible Agra Fort during its long history has been a palace, a fort and a prison! (TAJ MAHAL CLOSED FRIDAYS)

Day 17: Agra

ALL PASSENGERS -- This morning we enjoy a sunrise guided tour of the Taj Mahal. 2 KIDS WITH PARTNERS (4 in total) -- After breakfast, transfer to Delhi Airport for your flight home (note that Delhi Airport is around 4 hours drive from Agra) MUM & DAD -- After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing to Ram Bagh Mughal Gardens and Emperor Akbars Tomb known also as Sikanrda.

Day 18: Agra - Lucknow

Early morning head to the station and catch the express train to Lucknow. Arriving here, we will take a moment for photos at the train station as the ordered chaos is a fascinating site to behold, before driving you to your hotel.

Days 19-20: Lucknow

Today and tomorrow with your guide you will spend visiting the many interesting places in this wonderful and historic city highlights will be Bara Imambara, The British Residency of Lucknow, Chattar Manzil, Jama Masjid, Rumi Darwaza, Clock Tower, Moti Mahal, Lakshmana Tila and Hussainabad Imambara and more depending on level of interest and preference.

Day 21: Lucknow - Varanasi

This morning we drive to Varanasi. Along the way we will explore the city of Allahabad which has the oldest university in India. Arriving into Varanasi, settle into your hotel. This evening our guide will take you down to the riverside steps to witness the evening ritual worship that takes place.

Day 22: Varanasi

Abundant with temples and a labyrinth of streets, Varanasi is exciting, enticing and a city not to be missed. Early this morning we enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges to view the sunrise and the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the ghats (riverside steps). Enjoy a tour of the city, with its numerous temples and wonderful historic feel; with time later to relax.

Day 23: Varanasi

Today we take the opportunity to see Ganges but without the chaos of Varanasi, Chunar is a great option. The town has a huge fort overlooking the river Ganges, a perfect setting! Former site of many battles and under Muslim, Mughal, Afghan and British rule, the fort not only has great views of the Ganges, but intriguing ruins such as a sun dial, a huge well, prison and execution rooms and more. This afternoon we visit the Buddhist holy site of Sarnath which is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middleway to final 'NIRVANA’.

Day 24: Varanasi - Kolkata

This morning we head off to the airport and fly to Kolkata. Arriving here, our local driver will collect you and take you onto your hotel.

Day 25: Kolkata

The graft of a European city imposed on an Asian landscape lends Kolkata a bewitching blend of colour, charm and excitement. Enjoy a city sights tour including a visit to the imposing Victoria Memorial. Opened by the Prince of Wales in 1921, this vision in marble is often called the “Taj” of the British Raj. We also visit the New Market – a bazaar on Chowringhee Road, the stately Indian Museum founded in 1814 and the oldest and largest in India, St Paul’s Cathedral and the extraordinary Marble Palace which houses paintings by Rubens, Titian and Reynolds.

Day 26: Kolkata

Today we will take you to see some of the more real sides of Kolkata allowing plenty of time for taking photos of street vendors, residential streets, bazaars and more, all depending on your interest our driver and guide will be with you and have in-depth knowledge of where to take you.

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
