Day 1: Kolkata

Namaste! Welcome to Kolkata, and the start of your eye-opening adventure! Our friendly team will be waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Kolkata

Enjoy a city sights tour including a visit to the imposing Victoria Memorial. Opened by the Prince of Wales in 1921, this vision in marble is often called the “Taj” of the British Raj. We also visit the New Market – a bazaar on Chowringhee Road, the stately Indian Museum founded in 1814 and the oldest and largest in India, St Paul’s Cathedral and the extraordinary Marble Palace which houses paintings by Rubens, Titian and Reynolds.

Day 3: Kolkata - Thimphu

Morning transfer and flight to Bhutan. Welcome to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Airport arrival transfer from Paro airport to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. Driving through the Paro valley, en route to Thimphu gaze out upon silvery Pa Chu (Paro River) meandering its way through the thick forested ravine, the Paro Dzong (fortress) and Ta Dzong (watch tower).

Day 4: Thimphu - Punakha

Today is spent exploring Gangtey, Phobjikha valley, then onto the Black-necked crane festival and driving to Punakha.

Day 5: Punakha

Spend the day with your guide exploring the highlights of the region including Khamsum Yuelly Namgyel Chorten, Punakha Dzong and the township at Khuruthang. Explore Chimi Lhakhang temple which is combined with a short hike. Then visit Richengang and Wangduephodrang town before returning to your hotel.

Day 6: Punakha - Thimphu

Morning we return to Thimpu via the scenic Dochula pass, walk to Lunchuzekha monastery, Trashigang, weekend market, followed by great Tashicho Dzong and exploring the Giant Buddha statue.

Day 7: Thimphu

Today’s full day of sightseeing in Thimphu valley includes the National Library which has a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts, The Traditional Medicine Institute is where the rich herbal medicines abundant in Kingdom are prepared here, Other sights will be visited according to your interest or a hike in the surrounding hills.

Day 8: Thimphu - Paro

Today we drive to Paro. Highlights of our exploration includes Dzongdrakha cave temples, local village in Bondey, Kichu Lhakhang temple, Dungtse temple and the ruins of Drugyal Dzong.

Day 9: Paro

Taktshang Pelphung monastery or Tiger's Nest as it often referred to, is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. Today is a full day of hiking with breaks to explore the monastery.

Day 10: Paro

Today we begin the journey to India. Our destination is Phuntsholing, along the way we will make stops to take in the scenery and take photos. (OVERNIGHT PHUNTSOLING)

Day 11:

Transfer from Phuntsoling to Zurantee Tea Estate 90 Kms/2.5 Hrs approx. Overnight at Zurantee Tea Estate.

Day 12:

This morning Visit a tea plantation, visit Bindu village, Cinchona plantation, Cardamom plantation Or Hike the Neora Vally both is not possible in one day so you would need to choose between the two. Overnight at Zurantee Tea Estate.

Day 13:

Today we transfer from Zurantee Tea Estate to Samthar Village 112 Kms/5-6 Hrs approx. En-route visit Lava Monastery, pass through Loleygaon Heritage forest & Ethnic villages, and meet with locals. Overnight at Samthar Farm House.

Day 14:

Today enjoy walking exploration of Samthar Valley and visit Awake & Shine School – takes approx. 4 Hrs trek. Overnight at Samthar Farm House.

Day 15: - Pelling

Today we make our way by transfer to Kalimpong 80 kms and From Kalimpong to Pelling 95 kms 4 hour approx.

Day 16: Pelling

This morning an excursion to Khecheopalri Lake and in the afternoon visit Pemayangtse Monastery & Rabdantse Ruins.

Day 17: Pelling

This morning we enjoy a walk to Shangacholing Monastery. In the afternoon we transfer to Temi Tea Garden via Tashiding Monastery. Overnight Temi Tea Garden.

Day 18: - Gangtok

This morning we drive to Gangtok Via Samdruptse Hill where we have time to explore.

Day 19: Gangtok

This morning enjoy an excursion to the Rumtek Monastery followed by a visit to Enchay Monastery and Zoo.

Day 20: Gangtok

Our guided exploration of the city today takes in the Namgyalak Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway, Cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten monastery, MG Marg Avenue and visit Lal Bazaar Market.

Day 21: Gangtok - Darjeeling

The journey continues to Darjeeling. Home of Darjeeling tea and with a panoramic backdrop of the awesome Himalayan snow-clad peaks.

Day 22: Darjeeling

After breakfast visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park,Tibetan Refugee Centre and outer view of the nearest Tea Estate to town.

Day 23: Darjeeling

Enjoy a drive to Tiger Hill to witness sunrise over the snowy peaks of Kanchenjunga; followed by a visit with transport on the famous toy train to Ghoom Gompa monastery.

Day 24: Darjeeling - Kolkata

Later this morning, the journey continues to New Jalpaiguri, from where you board the Darjeeling Mail train to Kolkata. In air-conditioned first class sleepers, travel in style.

Day 25: Kolkata

On arrival, enjoy a transfer to your hotel. The remainder of today is at your leisure to explore.

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer to the airport for your flight home.
