Day 1: New Delhi
Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight. Overnight - The Met Hotel
Day 2: New Delhi
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Overnight - Metropolitan Hotel
Day 3: New Delhi - Jaipur
Today we transfer you to the train station for your morning train to Jaipur (0605/1030). Here you will be transferred to your hotel and have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight - Metropolitan Hotel
Day 4: Jaipur
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Rest of the evening is free and at your leisure. Day 5: Jaipur - Alsisar
Today we drive about 4 hours and make our way to Alsisar. This afternoon you can visit the local Havelis on your own if you wish. Overnight - Mandawa Haveli
Day 7: Bikaner
Today you enjoy a half day sighsteeing tour of the town, before having the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight - Lallgarh Palace
Day 8: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Today we make our way to Jaisalmer, which is about 6 hours away. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight - Lallgarh Palace
Day 9: Jaisalmer
Today enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city including the sandstone fort which is an imposing sight, towering magnificently over the city. Later this afternoon we will take you on an exciting camel safari on the Sam sand dunes. Overnight - Rang Mahal
Day 10: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Today, we travel to Jodhpur,the largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur, the Blue City, in reference to the indigo coloured buildings that dot the old city, and the locals belief that blue acts as effective defence against mosquitoes! Overnight - Rang Mahal
Day 11: Jodhpur
Morning at leisure. This afternoon you will enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower. Overnight - Karni Bhawan
Day 12: Jodhpur - Nimaj
Today we continue to Nimaj. This afternoon you can visit the local village on your own if you wish. Overnight - Karni Bhawan
Day 14: Deogarh - Udaipur
Today we drive to the romantic city of Udaipur, about 3 - 4 hours. Misty ochre shadowed hills and pale intricate buildings encircle the mirror glass of Lake Pichola and the mythical Lake Palace sitting at its centre. Udaipur is also a centre for performing arts, painting and crafts. Day at leisure. Overnight - Deogarh Mahal
Day 15: Udaipur - Ahmedabad
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Ahmedabad, via Delhi. You will then be transferred to your hotel for a free afternoon. Overnight - Swaroop Vilas
Day 16: Ahmedabad
Today we enjoy sightseeing and we visit Adalaj step-well, Gandhi ashram, Calica museum of textiles, Sidi Sayyad mosque. Overnight - Standard Accommodation
Day 17: Ahmedabad - Amritsar
Today we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Amritsar, via Delhi. Upon arrival into Amritsar you will be transferred about 2 hours to Phillaur. Overnight - Standard Accommodation
Day 19: Amritsar
Today we collect you and transfer you back to Amritsar. Overnight - Client's own arrangements
Day 20: Amritsar
Enjoy a half day city tour which includes highlights such as the Golden temple. This evening you will enjoy a visit to Wagah - the only border crossing between India and Pakistan for the sunset ‘Retreat’ ceremony, where the changing of the guards & ceremonial lowering of the flags is performed with great pomp. Day 21: Amritsar
Day at leisure without vehicle (Diwali today - Festival of Lights). Overnight - Country Inn & Suites
