Day 1: Old Delhi

Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Old Delhi

Today we explore Old Delhi - once the power centre of the Mughal Empire with wide streets, waterways and lively bazaars, Old Delhi is a chaotic bustling city. Highlights include the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Digambar Jain temple and more.

Day 3: Old Delhi

Today we explore New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a stark contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City seen yesterday. We visit the Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and Lutyens building and more during our tour of New Delhi.

Day 4: Old Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, we journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. We will check you into the hotel and the rest of the day is free.

Taj Mahal & camels

Day 5: Agra

After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. We also visit the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area.

Day 6: Agra - Ranthambhore NP

We will drive you to the train station at Bharatpur for the tran to Sawai Madhopur (Golden Temple Mail, departing at 10:53 and arriving at 13:10, air conditioned chair class). On arrival we will transfer you to Ranthambhore and check you into the lodge. In the afternoon you will have a game drive in a shared jeep or canter.

Day 7: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives (in shared jeep or canter) in the national park. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.

Day 8: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur

After our final morning game drive we will depart from this wonderful park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. Today we will head to Jaipur.

Day 9: Jaipur

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.

Jantar Mantar Observatory Park

Day 10: Jaipur

You will have a half day city tour today, taking in the City Palace and museum, Hawa Mahal - the palace of the winds, Jantar Mantar - an observatory dating back from 1728, that still gives accurate readings. Rest of the day is free.

Day 11: Jaipur - Goa

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Goa, via Mumbai (flight SG 137 departing at 11:30 and arriving at 15:00). On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.

Days 12-17: Goa

Welcome to the palm-fringed shores of Goa. A one time Portuguese colony, Goa is truly a trpical paradise. Leave the world behind as you watch the sun set over the Arabian sea, sample fresh food and seafood, swim in Goa's warm waters or simply soak up the sun!

Day 18: Goa

Farwell Incredible India! We will transfer you to the airport in time for you departure flight.
