On arrival into Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi takes you to the Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi) and Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk, once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty and today a busy commercial area and oriental bazaar. After breakfast we depart Delhi, and drive to Jaipur. Arriving here we transfer you to your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is yours at leisure before our full day of touring tomorrow. Accommodation at Golden Tulip Hotel
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. Accommodation at Golden Tulip Hotel
After a relaxing breakfast we will head off to Agra home to of India's most famous monuments - the Taj Mahal. En route we will also pay a visit to the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area. Arriving in Agra you will check into your hotel.
This morning we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Today we will transfer you to the Railway Station in time for your departure train to Jhansi. Train departs at 08:11 hours arrive at 10:45. You will be met by our representative to transfer you to Orchha. Check-in at your hotel and afternoon half day sightseeing of Orchha (includes Sheesh Mahal, Raja Mahal, Chhatri Temple, Ram Raja Temple)
Striking east, we arrive at Khajuraho, famed for its stunning temples built in the Chandela dynasty over a 100 year burst of creative genius from 950 - 1050AD. The carved temples display exceedingly artistic aspects of Indian life a millennium ago. How and why they were built still remains a mystery. We’ve plenty of time to see the temples for ourselves!
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Varanasi (Expected time of departure 13:45 hours). Upon arrival, you will be met and the airport and transferred to your hotel. There is an afternoon visit to the Ganges by rickshaw, to see an aarti ceremony.
We enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). afternoon at leisure or you can consider to join our Varanasi city tour including a visit to Banaras Hindu University, the Bharat mata Mandir the only temple dedicated to Mother India and New Vishwanath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Today we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight to Kathmandu (Expected time of departure 12:30 hours) Arrive Kathmandu at 13:40 hours. You will be met by our representative and transferred by a private vehicle to Pokhara (Approximate Time:6 Hours)
On a morning tour of Pokhara see Davis Falls and visit a Tibetan refugee camp. Discover Seti Gorge - this deep narrow gorge runs through the centre of town, at some points only a metre across, with the Seti River gushing by up to 50 metres below street level. Enjoy a boat ride on tranquil Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, encircled by hills with a pagoda-style temple. This afternoon hike (approx. 2 hrs) to the Buddhist Stupa perched on a hillock just opposite Phewa Lake.
This morning travel by road from Pokhara to Kathmandu (approx. 5-6hrs). Upon arrival check in to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure in one of the world's oldest cities.
This morning enjoy a tour of Nepal's two holiest sites. The impressive Boudhanath Stupa is one of the world's largest stupas at 36 metres high. Close by, the richly-ornamented Pashupatinath Temple houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of the Hindu Lord Shiva. Visit graceful Patan, the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD. Later, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city and walk to Thamel via the old part of the city with its narrow medieval streets and lovely little shrines. In Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess. This evening enjoy dinner and a cultural dance show at an authentic restaurant.
