Day 1: Delhi
Wellcome to India. You will be met by our representative and driver on arrival and transferred by a private vehicle to your hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
Today you will go on a half day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi (Includes Jama Mosque, Red Fort, and rickshaw ride in the bylanes of the old city) In the afternoon, your choice to do optional excursions (see Enhance Options) or afternoon at leisure.
Day 3: Delhi - Rishikesh
This morning our representative and driver will meet you at your hotel to transfer you to the Railway Station in time for your departure from Delhi by Train No 12017 AC Chair Car to Haridwar. Train departs at 06:50 hours. (Recheck timings locally; portage at the railway station is paid by our representative) Haridwar arrive Haridwar by 12017 at 11:25 hours. You will be met by our representative and driver to transferred you to Rishikesh Haridwar Rishikesh(Distance: 25 Kilometres; Approximate Time: 01:00 Hours) Travel by road from Haridwar to Rishikesh. Check in at your hotel-remainder of the afternoon to explore the city on your own.
Day 4: Rishikesh
Morning half day sightseeing of Rishikesh visiting Ghats and Ashrams. The afternoon is free at your leisure.
Day 5: Rishikesh - Haridwar
This morning you will travel by road to Haridwar. Check in to your Hotel then enjoy an afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Haridwar visiting Mansa Devi temple, Har Ki Pauri ghats, Ashrams.
Day 6: Haridwar - Amritsar
Enjoy breakfast then relax this morning at leisure. Our representative and driver will meet you at your hotel to transfer you by private vehicle to the Railway Station in time for your departure from Haridwar to Amritsar. Train departs at 14:35 hours. Arrive Amritsar by 12053 at 22:00. You will be met by our representative and driver to transfer you by a private vehicle to your hotel. Portage at the railway station is paid by our representative)
Day 7: Amritsar
This morning enjoy a half day city sightseeing tour including the Golden temple and Jallianwala Bagh. In the afternoon an excursion to Wagah border to witness the retreat ceremony.
Day 8: Amritsar - Dharamsala
Travel by road from Amritsar to Dharamsala. It is synonymous with the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Government in Exile and starting point of some exhilarating treks into the high Himalayas. Check in at your hotel and relax for the remainder of the day for acclimatization.
Day 9: Dharamsala
Enjoy breakfast then embark on a full day city sightseeing including a visit to Nam Gyal monastery, Tibet Museum, St. John Church, Chinmaya Mission Ashram, Sidbari.
Day 10: Dharamsala - Delhi
Morning is free for independent activities. In the afternoon, travel by road from Dharamsala to Chakki Bank then board your overnight train.
Day 11: Delhi - Varanasi
Arrive into Delhi early morning - approx 5am. You will be met by our representative and driver and transferred to your hotel to freshen up. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your departure to Varanasi. Expected time of departure 13:40. Arrive Varanasi approximately 15:05 hours. You will be met by our representative and driver on arrival and transferred by a private vehicle to your hotel.
Day 12: Varanasi
Take an early morning boat ride on the Ganges then enjoy breakfast back at your hotel. In the afternoon do as little or as much as you like. (Enhance options Varanasi up close)
Day 13: Varanasi - Khajuraho
Today after breakfast, you will be met at the hotel by our representative and driver to transfer you to the airport by a private vehicle for your departure to Khajuraho -approximate departure time - 12:25 hours- approximate arrival time into Khajuraho is 13:15 hours. Then be transferred by a private vehicle to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a half day temples visit to Eastern & Western Group of Temples.
Day 14: Khajuraho - Orchha
After breakfast, travel by road from Khajuraho to Orchha. (Private vehicle with driver only). Located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Orchha (‘hidden place’) on the River Betwa lives up to its name, situated amid a tangle of scrubby forest. Then check into your hotel.
Day 15: Orchha - Agra
Embark in a morning half day sightseeing of Orchha (includes Sheesh Mahal, Raja Mahal, Chhatri Temple, Ram Raja Temple). Travel by road to Jhansi Railway station and board the train where you are headed for Agra. Departure time approximately 17:58 hours. Arrive Agra approximately 20:30 hours. Be met and tranferred to your hotel.
Day 16: Agra
An exciting day awaits you today. Visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise. One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and an enduring Indian icon, the elegant structure known as the Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who sadly died in 1631, giving birth to their 14th child. Then return to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon enjoy a half day city sightseeing tour which includes Agra Fort & BabyTaj.
Day 17: Agra - Jaipur
Travel by road from Agra to Jaipur. Known as the "Pink City", Jaipur was chosen by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743) for his capital. A skilled astronomer and visionary, he worked with superb Bengali architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya to complete design and construction of Jaipur in less than eight years. Enroute visit to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, iIncluding Ruined city, Abundant City Palace, Mosque, Administrative Lay out including entrances & guide.
Day 18: Jaipur
This morning you will visit Amber Fort with an Elephant ride (subject to availability) alternatively by Jeep. Your choice for an afternoon at leisure or take a Jaipur up close excursion (see Enhance options).
Day 19: Jaipur - Jodhpur
Travel by road from Jaipur to Jodhpur. (Private vehicle with driver only) Jodhpur is the 2nd largest city in the state of Rajasthan in Northern India. Located at the eastern edge of the Thar Desert, Jodhpur was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Jodhpur gave its name to the popular riding trouser that originated here. Check in at your Hotel then enjoy an afternoon half day sightseeing to Mehrangarh Fort & Cenotaphs.
Day 20: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Travel by road from Jodhpur to Udaipur. Founded in 1568 by Maharana Udai Singh II, Udaipur sits on the shores of Lake Pichola. Udaipur was the capital of the Rajput kingdom of Mewar, a princely state of British India. After India's Independence in 1947, the Maharaja of Udaipur acceded to the Government of India and and Mewar was integrated into India's Rajasthan state. Enroute you will visit Ranakpur temples.
Day 21: Udaipur
Good morning! Take a half day city tour including City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Shaliyo ki bari Garden and Bharti lok kala Mandal. Later this afternoon, enjoy a boat ride at sunset on the Lake Pichola on shared boat.
Day 22: Udaipur
After breakfast, morning at leisure. You will be met at the hotel by our representative and driver to transfer you to the airport by a private vehicle for your departure to Mumbai. Expected time of departure 17:45 hours- approximate arrival time 19:05 hours. It is now time to say farewell and hope you have enjoyed your Indian experience!
