Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India! After you have cleared customs and passport control we will transfer you directly to the hotel to check-in, freshen up and relax after your flight.

Day 2: Delhi

Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 3: Delhi - Orchha

Early rise this morning we board the morning 06:15 am Shatabdi Express destined for Jhansi. Upon arrival at Jhansi at 10:38 am we drive to Orchha, for the remainder of the day enjoy free time to explore at your leisure.

Day 4: Orchha - Khajuraho

Orchha, situated on the banks of the River Betwa and famed for temples built by the 16th century Bundela rulers. After breakfast today you will get to see this first hand as our guide takes you around. Later we drive to Khajuraho after check-in the remainder of the evening is your free time to relax.

Day 5: Khajuraho - Varanasi

In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Chandela Dynasty temples built between 950-1050 AD. Immortalised in stone, the carved temples depict Indian life a millennium ago, including erotic scenes from the Kama Sutra. Later transfer to the airport for your 13:00 flight to Varanasi after transfer and check-in the afternoon is yours to explore this holy city abundant with temples and labyrinthine streets.

Day 6: Varanasi

This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Later, we embark on a tour of the city and Sarnath. At sunset consider re-visiting the ghats for the evening pilgramage, remarkably different from the dawn ritual.

Day 7: Varanasi - Agra

Enjoy a morning at your leisure, in the afternoon we will enjoy a visit to the famous Buddhist holy sight of Sarnath. Sarnath is located at 10 Kms from Varanasi where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middleway to final 'NIRVANA’. We then proceed to the train station for the 22:40 Magadh Express destined for Agra.

Day 8: Agra

Arriving this morning at 07:03 am we will meet you at Tundla station and then transfer you on to Agra only a short drive away. After hotel check-in and time to freshen up we are off, first to the Taj Mahal here you will enjoy exploration time and also a guided explanation of this once powerful mogul emperor’s monument to love. Following this we visit Agra Fort which, during its time has been a military structure, a palace and a prison!

Day 9: Agra - Jaipur

After breakfast this morning we drive out to the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Continuing on 6 hours you will arrive in to Jaipur 'The Pink City', here enjoy free time to relax.

Day 10: Jaipur

Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where you will enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon you tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory and more.

Day 11: Jaipur

Today we journey back to Delhi aprox 7 hours, upon arrival there we will assist with check-in to your onward flight.
