The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon further enhance your exploration of this bustling city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area - the highlights will include India gate, a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub Minar.

Day 3: Delhi - Varanasi

This morning you will take to the sky and fly to Varanasi. Arriving here our local team will transfer you to your hotel. This evening enjoy your included boat ride on the holy Ganges to witness the sunset and the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the famous riverside ghats (steps) that line the banks.

Day 4: Varanasi

This morning enjoy your visit to the famous Buddhist holy sight of Sarnath. Sarnath is located around 10 Kms from Varanasi and this is the location where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middle way to final 'NIRVANA’. Afternoon at your leisure to explore.

Day 5: Varanasi - Allahabad

This morning enjoy your included early morning boat ride to see the rituals that take place in the early hours. After, we transfer you to the station to catch the train to Allahabad. The Vibhuti Express departs at 09:40 AM and arrives at 12:00 noon. Arriving here our local rep will transfer you to your hotel. This afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 6: Allahabad - Khajuraho

Enjoy a morning guided journey to Ganga Ghat - Later we take you to the station for the train to Satna. The Mumbai Mail departs at 11:40 am and arrives at 14:50. Arriving into Satna, our local driver will transfer you in around 2 hours to Khajuraho.

Day 7: Khajuraho

Enjoy a morning with our local expert guide to explore the resplendent Hindu temples which were built during the Chandela dynasty over a 100 year in a burst of creative genius from 950-1050 AD. The afternoon is yours to explore them further at your leisure.

Day 8: Khajuraho - Orchha

Today, we drive onward to Orchha. Situated on the banks of the River Betwa, Orchha is set amongst a wonderful complex of well-preserved 16th century temples and palaces. Enjoy the afternoon here to explore at your leisure, no need for a guide.

Day 10: Orchha - Ranthambhore NP

(Not Recommended) Early this morning we drive to Jhansi to board the Rajdhani Express train to Agra. The train departs at 05:31 am and arrives at 07:55 am. Arrival transfer in Agra and our driver will meet you and drive you around 6 hours to Ranthambore National Park.

Day 11: Ranthambhore NP

For today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in shared canters in the national park to spot the wildlife and if lucky a Bengal Tiger! In between drives you enjoy lunch and free time to relax at the lodge and take in your forested surroundings.

Day 12: Ranthambhore NP - Pushkar

After our final morning game drive we will depart from this wonderful park, hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers, and drive (5 hours) to Pushkar. Arriving in the evening, head out and explore the laid back ambience of the Kund (Pond) and it's surrounding café's/restaurants. (OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE Aaram Bagh Hotel with all meals in Arabian Cottage)


Day 13: Pushkar - Jaipur

Enjoy the day free time to explore this very laid back and popular backpacker tourist location with lots of temples and ancient things to see. Later afternoon/evening we will enjoy a scenic drive to Jaipur city.

Day 14: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we'll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon enjoy a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur - start with a photo stop in front of Jal Mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar Mantar and a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies.

Day 15: Jaipur - Agra

En route on or drive to Agra, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. Remainder of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 16: Agra

Early morning enjoy your sunrise tour of the incredible Taj Mahal. After breakfast, we visit the impressive Agra Fort and then again touring the legendary Taj Mahal and witnessing a glorious golden sunset.

Day 17: Agra - Delhi

Early this morning we drive to Delhi. With no guided services - En route you first stop in a town called Mathura now here is the birthplace of the Hindu God Krishna and in this region many of his childhood pastimes took place the basis of which many ancient scriptures are written. The next town you visit is called Vrindavan, this place is amazing it has ancient temples absolutely everywhere you walk, free time to see them first hand usually the temple priests will be making music and the atmosphere around the old part of town is really magic. Arriving into Delhi in the evening.

Day 18: Delhi

Say farewell to incredible India! We will be sure to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
