Day 1: Bangalore
Welcome to India! Upon arrival into Bangalore this morning, we will be awaiting you at the airport to transfer to our accommodation.
Day 2: Bangalore - Mysore
This morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour around Bangalore. Sights visited include Lalbagh gardens, Tipu's palace, Bangalore Palace, and the Bull Temple. Later we drive to Mysore, a city which has long fascinated travellers from all over the globe.
Day 3: Mysore - Nagerhole NP
This mornings sightseeing tour of Myore takes in Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Palace and Chamundi Hill. Later we leave Mysore to drive to Nagerhole National Park. Enroute we visit Sri Rangapatnam, the historic capital of Tipu Sultan known for his struggle against British rule.
Day 4: Nagerhole NP
Today we enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through the National Park in shared jeeps.
Day 5: Nagerhole NP - Biligirirangan Hills
Today we drive to BR Hills. Upon arrival we check into the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 7: Biligirirangan Hills - Bandipur N.P.
Drive to Bandipur National Park. On arrival we transfer to the hotel, before and afternoon game drive in the National Park.
Day 9: Ooty
This morning a final Game drive in the National Park. Later we drive onwards to Ooty. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore.
Day 10: Ooty - Palakkad
Today we take the approximately 4 hour drive to Palakkad. On arrival we transfer to our hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 11: Palakkad - Munnar
Today we continue our drive to Munnar (approx. 4 hours.)Transfer to hotel on arrival and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 12: Munnar
Today we visit a local Tea Estate - for which the region is reknowned for! We also visit the nearby Eravikulam National Park before returning to Munnar.
Day 13: Munnar - Periyar NP
Drive to Periyar (approx 3.5 hours) This afternoon we visit one of India's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where one can watch wildlife at close range.
Day 15: Periyar NP - Kumarakom
Early this morning we take a boat ride to view wildlife in the sanctuary on Lake Periyar. Later today we drive to Kumarakom.
Day 16: Kumarakom
Today we visit the bird Sanctuary. From February to July there are darters (snake birds), night herons, egrets, & Siberian storks. It also has golden backed woodpecker, crow pheasant, & white-breasted water hens. Later today we board our houseboat for a cruise through the fascinating local backwaters.
Day 17: Kumarakom - Kovalam
We disembark our housebout at Alleeppy and drive to Kovalam where on arrival we check into our hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 18: Kovalam
Today we transfer for the Trivandrum airport for your onward travels, and bid you farewell.
