Day 1: Kochi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Kochi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like. (room is reserved for early check in).

Day 3: Kochi

This morning enjoy a cooking lesson with a local family that concludes with a tasty lunch. This afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. This evening you will attend a traditional dance performance known as the art of Kathakali.

Day 4: Kochi - Munnar

A drive east to to Munnar - a quaint hill station nestled on the verdant slopes of tea plantations, that exudes a rare old world charm and reminds one of the days of the Raj in its elegant splendour. At a height of 1525 metres, Munnar offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

Day 5: Munnar

Enjoy a day at your leisure with driver at your disposal you can head out to visit Eravikulam National Park or drive to a tea plantation the choice is yours.

Day 6: Munnar - Periyar NP

A short drive south to Periyar (Thekkady) South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary and home to bison, antelopes, sambar, wild boar, birds and even the odd tiger! Today enjoy an included elephant ride and boat ride on the lake to spot the wildlife.

Day 7: Periyar NP - Alleppey

This morning we drive to the coast and board a simply furnished private rice-boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Alleppey. Crewed by a poler to push the rice boat through the water, a distance of some 20 kms will be covered, during which time the boat will glide past colourful local villages. As for dining, the on-board cook will prepare meals using fresh local produce.

Day 8: Alleppey - Kovalam

Disembarking at Alleppey, you’ll be driven to palm fringed coastlines further south to the beach town of Kovalam. After check in, enjoy free time to relax.

Days 9-11: Kovalam

For your remaining days in India with us really relax. Stroll for miles along white palm fringed sandy beaches, try sampling the local seafood and sipping cocktails on your sunlounger the perfect remedy to unwind.

Day 12: Kovalam

Today we will transfer you to Trivandrum Airport for your flight home (your room is reserved for late check out).
