Welcome to Nepal and the start of your holiday. Upon arrival you will be met at Kathmandu Airport and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of today at your leisure.
Today we will head to Pokhara, gateway to the magnificent Annapurna Range, which consists of five mountains over 7200m and Machhapuchare Mountain at 7000m. The local people believe that Machhapuchare is sacred to the god Shiva and therefore is off limits to climbing. There’s time to relax this afternoon.
This morning we trek to visit the World peace stupa. This afternoon enjoy a tranquil boat ride on Lake Phew. remainder of the day free time to explore at leisure.
Today we fly back to Katmandhu. After hotel check-in we will visit Pashupatinath and Bodhnath. Kathmandu is Nepal’s biggest and most cosmopolitan city. You will see this first hand with a guided tour of the city including Swayambhunath, Kastha Mandap and Kumari Devi.
This morning you will return to Kathmandu Airport and you will take to the sky and head to the holy city of Varanasi. Arriving here, our local team are on hand to take you to your hotel. This evening enjoy a visit to the Ganges to see the Aarti ceremony.
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise and see the holy rituals that takes place on the riverbank from the boat. After breakfast we set out to explore the city with its an incredible array of temples and ancient buildings. We will head to Vishvanatha temple to see the outside as it is closed to non-Hindus. After, visit the Durga Temple which we will enter. Further downstream on the eastern bank of the Ganges we explore the Ram Nagar Fort. Conclude the day by taking a walking tour of the Islamic quarter of the city. It’s here that famous Varanasi silk is dyed, dried and woven.
This morning we drive you back to the airport and fly to Delhi then transfer by road to Agra as their is no direct flight to Agra today. Overnight Agra.
Today continue touring Agra with a visit to the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Overnight Agra
An early morning as we visit the night Taj Mahal for sunrise. Afterwards we depart to Jaipur. En route to Jaipur, we visit ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water to support the peoples who resided in the city. Thanks to the very durable red sandstone, from which it was built, Fatehpur Sikri remains fantastically preserved. Overnight - Jaipur
Today take a guided tour of the Pink City. Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Leaving Jaipur you travel by road to Delhi. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Delhi
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. The remainder of your time is free to explore independently or as many do in this city shop till you drop!
Sadly your journey has reached an end, after hotel check-out, your driver will be there at 11am so that you have the car at your disposal until your flight this afternoon.
