Welcome to Nepal and the start of your holiday. Upon arrival you will be met at Kathmandu Airport and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of today at your leisure.
Today we will head to Pokhara, gateway to the magnificent Annapurna Range, which consists of five mountains over 7200m and Machhapuchare Mountain at 7000m. The local people believe that Machhapuchare is sacred to the god Shiva and therefore is off limits to climbing. There’s time to relax this afternoon.
This morning we trek to visit the World peace stupa. This afternoon enjoy a tranquil boat ride on Lake Phew. remainder of the day free time to explore at leisure.
Today we fly back to Katmandhu. After hotel check-in we will visit Pashupatinath and Bodhnath. Kathmandu is Nepal’s biggest and most cosmopolitan city. You will see this first hand with a guided tour of the city including Swayambhunath, Kastha Mandap and Kumari Devi.
This morning you will return to Kathmandu Airport and you will take to the sky and head to Delhi. Arriving here, our local team are on hand to take you to your hotel.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
After breakfast we depart Delhi, and drive to Jaipur. Arriving here we transfer you to your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is yours at leisure before our full day of touring tomorrow.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
After a relaxing breakfast we will head off to Agra home to of India's most famous monuments - the Taj Mahal. En route we will also pay a visit to the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area. Arriving in Agra you will check into your hotel, and later on visit Agra Fort and Taj Mahal at Sunet
Today we drive back to Delhi Airport for internal flight to Varanasi (SG 114 -1325 / 1435) Arrive Varanasi and transfer to Hotel. Evening enjoy aarti ceremony
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise and see the holy rituals that takes place on the riverbank from the boat. After breakfast we set out to explore the city with its an incredible array of temples and ancient buildings. We will head to Vishvanatha temple to see the outside as it is closed to non-Hindus. After, visit the Durga Temple which we will enter. Further downstream on the eastern bank of the Ganges we explore the Ram Nagar Fort. Conclude the day by taking a walking tour of the Islamic quarter of the city. It’s here that famous Varanasi silk is dyed, dried and woven.
This morning we drive you back to the airport and fly to Delhi then transfer to your hotel.
Sadly your journey has reached an end, after hotel check-out, your driver will be there at 11am so that you have the car at your disposal until your flight this afternoon.
