Day 1: Kochi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Kochi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Kochi

Formerly a princely state, Kochi is also fondly referred to as “The Queen of the Arabian Sea”. This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. Afternoon and evening free.

Day 3: Kochi - Munnar

We drive east to to Munnar today to a quaint hill station nestled on the verdant slopes of tea plantations, that exudes a rare old world charm and reminds one of the days of the Raj in its elegant splendour. At a height of 1525 metres, Munnar offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

Day 4: Munnar - Alleppey

This morning we return to the coast and board a simply furnished private rice-boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Alleppey. Crewed by a poler to push the rice boat through the water, a distance of some 20 kms will be covered, during which time the boat will glide past colourful local villages. As for dining, the on-board cook will prepare meals using fresh local produce.

Day 5: Alleppey - Delhi

Disembarking at Alleppey after breakfast, we drive to Kochi Airport for your flight to Delhi (12:20/16:25). Here, our local team await to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon we further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar.

Day 7: Delhi - Varanasi

This morning we take the flight to the holy city of Varanasi. Varanasi is guaranteed to make an impression. The city of 1,027,000 is the holiest site in India and thousands of Hindu pilgrims tour its temples and bathe in the Ganges River to gain religious merit. Thousands more go to die and have their ashes thrown into the holy waters. This evening we take a rickshaw journey to the Ganges to view an Aarti ceremony.

Day 8: Varanasi

This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Later, we embark on a tour of the city and Sarnath.

Day 9: Varanasi - Jaipur

Departing Varanasi, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Delhi. Upon arrival we are met and journey to the smaller town of Samode for our night stay in a royal palace. Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore the town or simply enjoy the facilities of your hotel.

Day 10: Jaipur - Pushkar

Making our way further into the state of Rajasthan we drive to Pushkar. Enjoy the afternoon to explore the ancient temples and buildings around what is considered one of india's most sacred ponds in this little town.

Day 11: Pushkar - Udaipur

Continuing south, we arrive at Udaipur. An oasis of cool, with its massive lake and Venetian-like appearance, Udaipur is one of the most romantic towns in Rajasthan. A favourite amongst travellers, Udaipur is crammed full of palaces and temples.

Day 12: Udaipur

This morning will consist of an orientation and sightseeing tour of Udaipur - including the City Palace and museum - before having a few hours in the afternoon to explore for yourselves. This evening you will take ride in an private boat on Lake Pichola to see the city and hills from a fantastic vantage point.

Day 13: Udaipur - Deogarh

An interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to the little town of Deogarh. Arriving here, you can enjoy free time to explore the ancient buildings that are all around you.

Day 14: Deogarh - Jaipur

This morning we set out for the Pink City of Jaipur. Arriving here, enjoy time to relax or explore.

Day 15: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we'll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon we have a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (Lake Palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies.

Day 16: Jaipur - Ranthambhore NP

After breakfast we depart Jaipur and make our way to the Ranthambore National Park for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Ranthambore National Park is one of India’s most scenic parks and offers a rich diversity of fauna and flora including the Bengal tiger, sambar, chital, nilgai, wild boar, leopard, sloth bear and myriad birdlife.


Day 17: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park for today and tomorrow. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.

Day 18: Ranthambhore NP - Agra

This morning we will depart from this wonderful NP park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers and board our train to Bharatpur (07:10/09:30). Enroute our drive to Agra we visit Fatehpur. Arriving in Agra, we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! We conclude the day with a visit to the incredible Taj Mahal.

Day 19: Agra - Goa

Today we drive to Delhi Airport (approx 4 hours) for our flight to Goa (14:55/17:20). Arriving in Goa, our local team await to take you to you to your hotel.

Days 20-22: Goa

Day 23: Goa - Mumbai

Today we make our way to Goa Airport for your flight to the city of dreams. Arriving into Mumbai our local team are on hand to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 24: Mumbai

Mumbai or Bombay, as it was formerly known - remains India’s city of dreams. A free day or your could opt for for one or more of optional sight-seeing trips (pricing and details of the optional tours detailed after the quote page).

Day 25: Mumbai

Sadly your journey has come to its conclusion, we will transfer you to Mumbai Airport in time for your onward flight.
