The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Upon arrival into Delhi, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or independently explore this bustling capital.

Day 2: Delhi

Today enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, we journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital.

Day 4: Agra

Today, we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Later we travel to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunset. Built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century as an enduring memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers.

Day 5: Agra - Jaipur

This morning we drive to Samode situated outside of Jaipur. En route a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and examples of everyday living such as areas from where ablutions were performed, to an ancient aqua cooling system and marvel at how life must have been for the inhabitants of this old city.

Day 6: Jaipur

An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty 16th century Amber Fort on our morning guided tour. Later, explore the City Palace containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate! After we proceed to your Jaipur hotel.

Day 7: Jaipur - Ranthambhore NP

This morning we enjoy a scenic 5 hours driver through rural India to Ranthambhore National Park, which is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. This afternoon, we enjoy the first of our game drives in the park to spot the illusive wildlife.

Day 8: Ranthambhore NP

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, which you will see as you drive around there a many old ruins.


Day 9: Ranthambhore NP - Bundi

We continue the drive today through stunning rural India and arrive into the lesser visited town of Bundi. This small town has some incredible ornate forts, palaces, and step well reservoirs known as baoris. You will spend the afternoon exploring these wonderful sites with our local guide.

Day 10: Bundi - Chittaugarh

This morning we take to the road again to the town of Chittaugarh. Arriving here, spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel.

Day 11: Chittaugarh - Udaipur

This morning we head out to explore the incredible Chittaugarh Fort known as India's best preserved hill forts. When ready, we make our way to Udaipur city.

Day 12: Udaipur

This morning will consist of an orientation and sightseeing tour of Udaipur - including the City Palace and museum, the Jagdish Temple, Sahelion ki bari Gardens and Bharti lok kala Mandal, before having a few hours in the afternoon to explore for yourselves. This evening you will take ride in a shared boat on Lake Pichola.

Day 13: Udaipur - Ranakpur

Leaving Udaipur, we drive to Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. This afternoon in your own time head out and explore the incredible temples. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat)

Day 14: Ranakpur

This morning enjoy a laid back breakfast. We then drive around 1.5 hrs to Kumbalgarh. Here, we enjoy a Jeep safari at Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary in the afternoon. (OVERNIGHT IN KUMBALGARH AT THE AODHI HOTEL)

Day 15: - Narlai

This morning we enjoy touring the incredible Kumbalgarh Fort which after Chittaurgarh is considered the 2nd best preserved Fort in India. After exploring here, we drive to the wonderful rural town of Narlai where you check into your incredible heritage hotel.

Day 16: Narlai

Enjoy the day at leisure in this wonderful region. You can go out for wander in the village, walking in the nearby hills or opt to book a horse ride with the hotel.

Day 17: Narlai - Jodhpur

An interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo.

Day 18: Jodhpur

This morning enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower. This afternoon we head out to explore the Bishnoi Villages who residents the Bishnoi's are known for there unique cultural identity and practices.

Day 19: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

Driving through the Rajasthani Thar desert we arrive at the medieval caravan outpost of Jaisalmer, one of the jewels in India’s crown. Exquisite wood and sandstone buildings dot the town and within Jaisalmer Fort are homes, hotels and shops hidden in ancient lane ways. (OVERNIGHT AT The Serai -- Tented Suite)

Day 20: Jaisalmer

This mornings guided exploration includes wandering through the incredible Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples and the Havelis of the area (ancient mansions) Later today, we enjoy a desert camel safari on the rolling sand dunes. (OVERNIGHT AT The Serai -- Tented Suite)

Day 21: Jaisalmer - Delhi

This morning we head to the train station and catch the 14660 - 1st AC sleeper Class - to Delhi. Train departs at 17:15, sit back and enjoy the journey.

Day 22: Delhi

The train arrives this morning at 11:10, meet our driver who will take you to the Holiday Inn airport hotel where you have a day use room. Later, we drive you to the airport for your flight home.
