Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Departing Delhi, we journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Here, we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Later on we take a motorised buggy to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunset. Built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century as an enduring memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers.
Morning you can revisit the Taj on your own for sunrise. Later drive to Bharatpur enjoy lunch at the Chandra Mahal Haveli. We will then take the train to Sawai Madhopur. Train-Kota Janshtbdi departs at 15:28 and arrives at 18:00. Upon arrival, we will pick you and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer and a variety of birds. Tiger spotting is more common in the morning and late afternoon and toady we will head out on game drives in shared jeeps or canters at both times for optimum viewing!
After a final early morning game drive for a final spot of wildlife viewing, we will drive you to Jaipur. This walled Rajasthani capital is famous for the unusual rose-coloured sandstone architecture that gives the city its nickname, the Pink City. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to you hotel. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where you will enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. In the afternoon you tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Today we drive back to Delhi along the way we will stop to have a walk around Samode Village. En route enjoy a hearty meal at the amazing Samode Palace. Drive back to Delhi - Arrival and check into your airport hotel.
