Day 1: Delhi
Namaste! Welcome to India! Arriving at Delhi airport we will meet you in the arrivals hall and escort you to your private transfer with AC and a bottle of water ready for you. Transfer to your hotel our rep will assist with your check in. Remainder of the day at leisure to explore.
Day 2: Delhi - Agra
This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place giving you a briefing on the upcoming tour and answer your questions. After we enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Late afternoon transfer to Agra. Arrival and check into your hotel.
Day 3: Agra - Jaipur
Happy 30th Anniversary! This morning enjoy a romantic sunrise at and then a guided tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal. We then depart Agra by car and we visit the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water. We enjoy lunch at Udai Vilas Palace in Bharatpur, before taking a walk through the nearby rural village Peharsar. Onward drive to Jaipur. Arrival and check into your hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Day 5: Jaipur - Ranthambhore NP
Morning we head off by car to Ranthambore National Park. On arrival you will check in and then head out on the first of your game drives in a shared jeep or canter.
Days 6-7: Ranthambhore NP
Today and tomorrow enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in a shared jeep or canter in the national park. Between game drives you have lots of time to enjoy the resort sit and read book perhaps go on a village visit excursions organised by the Khem Vilas.
Day 8: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur
This morning after breakfast we will drive to Shahpura Bagh a lovely small town situated between Jaipur and Udaipur which is around a four hour drive away. Here on arrival you will get to experience the hospitality of the Shahpura Royal Family. After check in you can go for a walk in the village or simply relax at the hotels infinity pool.
Day 9: Jaipur - Udaipur
Enjoy a morning of leisure before we drive our final leg around four hours to Udaipur. On arrival we assist with your check into your historic hotel. Enjoy the evening to relax and take in the surroundings.
Day 10: Udaipur
This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari a couple of hours to relax this evening before we drive half hour to the Monsoon Palace to witness sunset and experience the magic atmosphere at twilight.
Day 11: Udaipur
Today we drive to Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples which you will enjoy a guided tour of. After plenty of time to explore return to your hotel in Udaipur.
Day 12: Udaipur - Delhi
Today return to Delhi by flight. Arriving in Delhi will transfer you to your hotel. We have arranged for you a driver and car to take you to some of Delhi's best shopping markets.
