Welcome to India! Upon arrival into Varanasi, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or independently explore this spiritual town.
This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Rest of the day at leisure. Optional enhance option available today: Varanasi up close or The Buddha in Varanasi.
We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Agra. On arrival into Agra we will transfer you to the hotel. We visit the impressive Agra Fort before touring Baby Taj.
Touring the legendary Taj Mahal (closed Fridays) and witnessing a glorious golden sunset. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz, who tragically died in childbirth in 1631, the Taj Mahal in Agra is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love and remains one of India’s most enduring symbols. After breakfast, we drive to Bharatpur to board the train to Ranthambore. Arriving in Ranthambore, you are met at the train station and transferred to your hotel. This morning we enjoy one last game drive before we take you to the train station for your onward train to Delhi (Golden Temple mail (2903) 1240:1950). On arrival we will take you to your hotel for the night.
