Day 1: Goa
Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Goa airport you will be met by a representative from On The Go and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend at leisure.
Days 2-4: Goa
The next few days are free for you to relax or explore independantly. Thanks to its picturesque location on the Mandovi River, between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea, Goa is one of India’s prime destinations. Although best known for its massive stretch of magnificent, palm tree-lined beaches along the Arabian Sea coast, Goa offers other attractions, for example; the Portuguese Catholic Church of Old Goa, St. Anne’s Church (an ornate marvel from the 1600s) and the Basilica of Bom Jesus. The surrounding countryside is dotted with luxurious old estates built by wealthy Indians (many of whom converted to Catholicism), including Braganza Palace, which is open to the public.
Day 5: Goa - Mumbai
After breakfast and hotel check out transfer to the airport for your flight. We have noted that you have booked 9W476 departing Goa at 13:40 and arriving into Bombay at 14:45 (please advise us if these flight times change so that we can re-arrange your transfers accordingly). Upon arrival into Mumbai you will be met and transferred to your hotel for three nights.
Day 6: Mumbai
Enjoy a cruise to the Elephanta caves in the morning. The island of Elephanta is about 10 kms from Mumbai. The 4 rock-cut temples are believed to have been cut between 450-750AD. After an hour’s boat trip to the island, walk the steps up the hillside to the caves. Shiva is the most depicted form. This afternoon city tour leads us to the Gateway of India – a former colonial monument and now a popular emblem of the city and a hubbub of life. The biggest museum in India is next door - the Prince of Wales Museum. Sample bhelpuri (Mumbai’s favourite snack) at Chowpatty Beach along what is known as Marine Drive.
Day 8: Mumbai - Delhi
Today we will transfer you to Mumbai airport. We have noted that you have booked 9W351 departing Mumbai at 13:35 and arriving into Delhi at 15:35 (please advise us if these flight times change so that we can re-arrange your transfers accordingly). Upon arrival we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Days 12-13: Rishikesh
Spend the next two days at leisure - explore or just relax, the choice is yours. There is plenty to see and do, in and around Rishikesh.
Day 14: Rishikesh
A free morning to soak up some final sights or perhaps enjoy a spot of shopping, then drive to Delhi to the Almondz Hotel.
