This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. Departing Delhi, we journey by express morning train to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving, meet your guide and visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! This evening enjoy a guided visit to the Taj Mahal to enjoy the incredible sun set - Return transfer to the train station in time for your evening express train to Delhi.
Early in the morning, you will be transferred from your hotel to the New Delhi railway station to board the Shatabdi Express train to Haridwar. From Haridwar, drive to Rishikesh and check in to your hotel. Afternoon is yours to partake in your chosen Yoga Ashram. (If choosing the supplement for the Ananda Ashram then you have a set package that includes detox advice, yoga, meditation and more - Ask your consultant for details)
For the next two days enjoy some down time here in Rishikesh.
Early in the morning, you will be transferred from your hotel to the railway station to board the Shatabdi Express train for Delhi. You will be met on arrival and transferred to a hotel to freshen up then head back to the station for the express train to Amritsar that leaves at 16:30 and arrives at 22:35 - here our local guide awaits to take you to the hotel as fast as he can for a good night rest.
Enjoy a day at leisure to go out and shop or explore as you wish. Later, you will enjoy a visit to Wagah - the only border crossing between India and Pakistan for the sunset ‘Retreat’ ceremony, where the changing of the guards & ceremonial lowering of the flags is performed with great pomp.
After breakfast enjoy a visit to the Famous Golden Temple the seat of the Sikh religion, Amritsar is one of the Punjab’s principal cities. This is followed with a visit to the Durgiana Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Ranjit Singh Panorama. The afternoon you return to Delhi on the train Amritsar Shtabadi, 1655/2305 , AC Chair Car - Arrival in Delhi and you be taken to an airport area hotel.
Today in the morning you fly to Jabalpur - Arriving here we will transfer you the 220 KM by private car to Kanha National Park. Check into your lodge on arrival and enjoy your first afternoon jeep safari.
Kanha is one of India’s largest parks, covering 1945 sq. km of forest and lightly wooded grassland. This is the land that Kipling wrote so vividly about in his literary classic ‘Jungle Book’. Kanha National Park has a tremendous variety of wildlife - including the Bengal tiger, leopard, sambar, chital, blackbuck, gaur, swamp deer and jackal. For the next three days enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in shared jeeps.
Today we will transfer you to the airport in Jabalpur in time for your evening flight back to Delhi. Arriving into Delhi we will transfer you to the nearby airport hotel.
Sadly your voyage through India comes to a close today with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
