Welcome to India and the start of your Yoga holiday! Upon arrival into Delhi you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
This morning enjoy a city tour of Old Delhi. Old Delhi is the 17th century walled city of Shahjahanabad (capital of Muslim India between the 17th and 19th centuries) with city gates, narrow alleyways, bazaars, many mosques, monuments and forts relating to India’s Muslim history. Your tour includes the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque and Chandni Chowk (Old Delhi's business nerve center), see the hustle-bustle of everyday Indian life all around you. Later drive to Rishikesh, often called the Yoga Capital of the world. This evening you will have a personal session where you will design your meal plan for the duration of your stay.
Over the next 6 days you will enjoy morning and evening yoga sessions with free time during the day. Your yoga session in the morning starts 30 minutes before sunrise and ends 60 minutes after sunrise (estimated sunrise from Oct – Mar is between 6:30am and 7:30am) In your spare time perhaps make use of the free bikes on offer at the hotel or enjoy an Indian cooking demonstration. You will be served specially prepared yogic breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel.
After your morning yoga session, you will be transferred back to Delhi feeling revitalized and refreshed. On arrival enjoy a city tour of New Delhi. The order of New Delhi is a huge contrast compared to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. It is a city of wide boulevards, which offers ever-changing perspectives of Lutyen's landscaped city. It is a city rich with formal parks and you will see the magnificent Parliament Building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official residence of the President of India), India Gate, Humayun's tomb and UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub Minar. You will be transferred to the airport in the evening in time for your onward flight.
