Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Our sightseeing today takes in Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shahjahanabad. The sightseeing includes the Red Fort built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century. Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and Raj Ghat - on the banks of the Yamuna River lies a marble memorial marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination.

Day 3: Delhi

We take in New Delhi, a city of wide tree-lined streets, parks, fountains and roundabouts – designed by Edward Lutyens and built as the imperial capital of India by the British. Connaught Place (Rajiv Chowk) with its outer circle Connaught Circus (Indira Chowk) forms the business and tourist centre.

Day 4: Delhi - Agra

We drive to Agra, home of the legendary Taj Mahal, constructed entirely of white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, the Taj Mahal has no peer and has been described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. OUr sightseeing starts with the Taj Mahal. Later a visit to Agra fort, behind its colossal walls are some of the finest Mughal buildings in India.

Day 5: Agra - Jaipur

En route a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Continue to the Pink City of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, afternoon at leisure.

Day 6: Jaipur

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Rest of the evening is free and at your leisure.

Day 7: Jaipur

We tour the City Palace, containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Head to Johari Bazaar, where you can buy jootis (traditional Rajasthani curled shoes).

Day 8: Jaipur - Delhi

Today we will drive back to Delhi and the remainder of the day is free. OVERNIGHT Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Nh

Day 9: Delhi - Rishikesh

Delhi to Rishikesh. (Distance: 250 Kilometres; Approximate Time: 06:00 Hours) Travel by road from Delhi to Rishikesh. (Private vehicle with driver only). Half day sightseeing of Rishikesh visit Triveni Ghats, Ashrams. Stay at Hotel Great Ganga (Standard)

Day 10: Rishikesh

Breakfast at Hotel, Full day Sightseeing at Rishikesh & Haridwar to visit the temples and Ashrams - Stay at Hotel Great Ganga (Standard)

Day 11: Rishikesh

Breakfast at hotel. Later drive to Delhi. Rishikesh to Delhi. (Distance: 250 Kilometres; Approximate Time: 06:00 Hours) Travel by road from Rishikesh to Delhi. (Private vehicle with driver only). On arrival, transfer to International airport to board the onwards flight EK 515 departing at 21:20 hours
