Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Overnight at Florence Inn.
After breakfast and hotel check out, we drive to Agra - home of India's most famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we check into the hotel and the rest of the day is free at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel Taj Resorts.
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque. Remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel Taj Resorts.
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. We continue onto the pink city of Jaipur, arriving in the later afternoon, the evening is at your leisure. Overnight at Naila Bagh Palace
This morning we visit the delicate pink and magnificent Amber Fort - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. Overnight at Naila Bagh Palace
After breakfast, we depart for Shahpura where we will stop over for the night to break up the long journey to Udaipur. Overnight at Bijay Niwas Palace.
Today we continue our travel by road to the famous romantic city of Udaipur. Udaipur, an oasis of cool with its massive lake and Venetian-like appearance, is one of the most romantic towns in Rajasthan. A favourite amongst travellers, Udaipur is crammed full of palaces and temples. Overnight at Hotel Sargam Sadan
This morning will consist of an orientation and sightseeing tour of Udaipur - including the City Palace and museum - before having a few hours in the afternoon to explore for yourselves. This evening you will take ride in an private boat on Lake Pichola. Overnight at Hotel Sargam Sadan
After breakfast and hotel check out, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
