The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India and the start of your eye-opening adventure! Our friendly team will be waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you to your hotel for immediate check in where you can relax for the rest of the day. This evening we head out to see the Akshardham temple, a massive temple complex that has some 20,000 statues, floral motifs, arches as well as exquisitely carved pillars.

Day 2: Delhi

Today enjoy sightseeing of Delhi, both new and old, with visits to the Red Fort - built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - a marble memorial marking the spot where the great leader- Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination. We also visit Humayun’s Tomb and India's largest mosque, Qutab Minar.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, we journey by car 5 hours to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving, we first visit Agra Fort which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! We conclude our day with a guided exploration of the magnificent Taj Mahal, which also allows free time to witness a romantic sunset at this iconic monument to love.

Day 4: Agra - Jaipur

En route on our drive to Jaipur, a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and examples of everyday living such as areas from where ablutions were performed, to an ancient aqua cooling system and marvel at how life must have been for the inhabitants of this old city. Continue to the Pink City of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 5: Jaipur

This morning begins with an exotic elephant ride that transports us to the lofty 16th century Amber Fort. After, we explore the City Palace containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate!

Day 6: Jaipur - Shahpura

Today we have a lovely scenic drive to Shahpura, a lovely traditional rural village where your hotel is Shahpura Bagh, home to the Shahpura Royal family where you will spend the afternoon relaxing and walking in the village affording you a wonderful insight into rural Indian life.

Day 7: Shahpura - Udaipur

This morning we make our way to the romantic city of Udaipur. Along the way we make a stop so you can explore the incredible Chittaurgarh Fort which is the largest in India! Spend time wandering around it's fascinating nooks and crannies and perhaps have a bite to eat before driving the last leg to the lake city.

Day 8: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple, Bharti lok kala Mandal and Sahelion ki bari. We conclude our day with a visit to the gorgeous Monsoon Palace, where you can take in views of the lake and city far down below and watch a romantic sunset.

Day 9: Udaipur

Today is at your leisure to relax and enjoy the fantastic surroundings.

Day 10: Udaipur - Goa

The tropical allure of the south beckons today! We set off to the airport for the morning flight to Mumbai. Here, connect onto your flight to Goa, where on arrival at 13:10 our local driver is waiting to take you to your hotel

Days 11-17: Goa

Welcome to the palm-fringed shores of Goa. A one time Portuguese colony, Goa is truly a tropical paradise. For the days ahead, leave the world behind as you watch the sun set over the Arabian sea, sample fresh food and seafood, swim in Goa's warm waters or simply soak up the sun!

Day 18: Goa - Mumbai

In the mid afternoon, we return to reality with a flight to the city of dreams - Mumbai. Here, meet our driver who will take you onto your hotel.

Day 19: Mumbai

This morning with our passionate guide you set out on a morning visit to the cave temples of Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries. Returning to the city, enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. Later, we will embark on a glittering city tour visiting the Prince of Wales Museum, Crawford Market and Dhobi Talao.

Day 20: Mumbai

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
