Day 1: Goa

Welcome to Goa India's smallest state. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and tranferred to your accommodation. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach. Overnight Goa.

Day 2: Goa -

Today we travel to the small town of Udupi. Udupi is famous for its Krishna temple. Spend some time on your own exploring this temple and town. Overnight Udupi at Hotel Fortune Valley View.

We leave the Town of Udupi this morning and travel by road to the town of Chikmagalur famous for coffee and is known as the 'coffee land' of Karnataka. Spend this afternoon at your leisure exploring this town and sampling some of its fine coffee for which it is famous for. Overnight Chikmagalur.

Day 4: Chikmagalur - Mysore

Travel by road from Chikmagalur to Mysore noted for its palaces, and festivals. Enroute we visit Sravanabelagola (Jain Pilgrimage Centre) the Summer Palace & Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan. Afterwards we continue to Mysore. This evening evening you may ask the hotel for a Biryani cooking class and pay directly. Overnight Mysore.

Day 5: Mysore - Chennai

A full day sightseeing of Mysore today. We will visit the Mysore Palace. Chamundi Hill which according to legend, the demon Mahishasura, king of the area that is currently Mysore, was killed by the Goddess Chamundeswari after a fierce battle. And finally the Devraja fruit vegetable market. This evening you are transported to the train station in tim for your train to Chennai.

Day 6: Chennai - Mahabalipuram

Welcome to the ‘Gateway to South India’ more commonly known as Chennai. Upon arrival you will be met by our representatives and transferred to Mahabalipuram. This afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing excursion where we will see Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance, Five Rathas & the Crocodile Bank. Overnight Mahabalipuram

Day 7: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

We leave Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry. Afternoon half day sightseeing including the French Colony, Pondicherry Beach, Sacred Heart Church, and Aurobindo Ashram please note the ashram is closed from 1200 hrs to 1600 hrs. Overnight Pondicherry.

Day 8: Pondicherry - Tanjore

Travel by road from Pondicherry to Tanjore. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing excursion where we will visit the Brihadeeswara Temple and spend some time walking around the Tanjore Art Gallery looking at all the artwork. Overnight Tanjore

Day 9: Tanjore - Chettinadu

Travel by road from Tanjore to Chettinad a place well known for its well cuisine, mansions, and temples. Spend the afternoon at your leisure sampeling some of their famous cuisine. Overnight Chettinadu.

Day 10: Chettinadu - Madurai

Located on the banks of River Vaigai Madurai is our next destination. This afternoon enjoy an afternoon half Day City Tour where we will see the Thirumalai Nayak Palace, a classic fusion of Dravidian, Islamic styles. Mariamman Theppakulam,Meenakshi Temple and the Local Bazaar Taylor market, to pick up some trinkets. Overnight Madurai

Day 11: Madurai - Periyar NP

The journey continues to Periyar which has south India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary and home to sambar wild boar, elephant, bison, antelope, langur and a small tiger population. Enjoy some rest and relaxation. In the evening you may ask your hotel for Pollachi cooking and pay directly to them. Overnight Periyar.

Day 12: Periyar NP

Today you'll head to the hill town retreat of Munnar, where you'll see beautifully manicured tea estates and cardamom plantations. Relax and sample some of the local teas and take in breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Overnight Periyar

Day 13: Periyar NP - Alleppey

This morning we journey by road where you will board a traditional Keralan rice boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Allapuzha (Alleppey). The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
