We leave the Town of Udupi this morning and travel by road to the town of Chikmagalur famous for coffee and is known as the 'coffee land' of Karnataka. Spend this afternoon at your leisure exploring this town and sampling some of its fine coffee for which it is famous for. Overnight Chikmagalur.
Travel by road from Chikmagalur to Mysore noted for its palaces, and festivals. Enroute we visit Sravanabelagola (Jain Pilgrimage Centre) the Summer Palace & Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan. Afterwards we continue to Mysore. This evening evening you may ask the hotel for a Biryani cooking class and pay directly. Overnight Mysore.
A full day sightseeing of Mysore today. We will visit the Mysore Palace. Chamundi Hill which according to legend, the demon Mahishasura, king of the area that is currently Mysore, was killed by the Goddess Chamundeswari after a fierce battle. And finally the Devraja fruit vegetable market. This evening you are transported to the train station in tim for your train to Chennai.

Travel by road from Pondicherry to Tanjore. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing excursion where we will visit the Brihadeeswara Temple and spend some time walking around the Tanjore Art Gallery looking at all the artwork. Overnight Tanjore

The journey continues to Periyar which has south India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary and home to sambar wild boar, elephant, bison, antelope, langur and a small tiger population. This morning we journey by road where you will board a traditional Keralan rice boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Allapuzha (Alleppey). The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
After breakfast, you'll disembark from the houseboat and be transferred to your hotel in Kochi. This evening enjoy a sunset Cruise on shared basis to view the Chinese fishing nets. Overnight Kochi
