Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Tonight you travel by sleeper train to Varanasi.
Welcome on arrival our local guide will meet you and transfer to your hotel. Today enjoy a half day city guided tour to see some of it's key temples and historic points of interest. Remainder day at leisure.
This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing. Later in the afternoon we will take you to visit the famous Buddhist holy sight of Sarnath which is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middleway to final 'NIRVANA’. We then proceed to the train station for your sleeper train to Agra.
Arrival transfer to your hotel. Later enjoy an afternoon visit to the Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison. Evening enjoy a guided tour and free time to see the Sun Set at the Taj Mahal.
Rise early and you can go and watch sunrise at the Taj in your own time. Take a drive out to the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. We then drive to Ranthambore and enjoy an evening game drive to see the wildlife.
After a final early morning game drive for a final spot of wildlife viewing, we will drive you to Jaipur. This walled Rajasthani capital is famous for the unusual rose-colored sandstone architecture that gives the city its nickname, the Pink City. Upon arrival you will head out for to tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant. After we dash to the airport for your 13:10 flight to Kochi via Mumbai. Arriving Kochi included transfer to your hotel.
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. After we drive to Munnar, arrival settle into your hotel.
Enjoy a day to explore the region you can opt to go for walks in spice plantations or tea estates nearby.
Today you will be driven to Alleppey to board the houseboat a traditional Keralan rice boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Allapuzha (Alleppey). The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
Disembarking around 11 we drive you to Varkala beach and check into your hotel.
Today we transfer you Trivandrum airport for your flight to Goa (via Chennai). Arrival and we will transfer you to your Goa Hotel.
Today we transfer you to Madgoan Station for the Jan Shatabdi Express to Goa Departs at 12:10 sit back and enjoy the scenery. Arrive Mumbai 22:58 we transfer you to your hotel.
Morning enjoy a visit to the cave temples of Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries. In the afternoon a city to see highlights such as the Prince of Wales museum, Marine Drive and the Mani Bhawan Jain temple. After your guide will take around the Dharavi Slums (famous because of the movie slum dog millionaire) you can donate coloring books and pens for the kids if you want.
