Private Tour. Starting in Tel Aviv, spend 8 days taking in the sites of Israel - from The Dead Sea and Jerusalem to the Golan Heights and Nazareth, take in all the key sites of this biblical land.

Day 1: Tel Aviv
Sunday. Upon arrival at the airport you will be met and transfered to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Rest of the evening is free. Overnight - Tel Aviv
Day 2: Masada Fortress & The Dead Sea
Tel Aviv - Beer Sheba - Masada - Dead Sea - Jerusalem. After a visit to the Negev capital of Beer Sheba continue via Arad to Masada Fortress atop an isolated rock cliff and the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans . Ascending by cable car to the fortress offers incredible views of the Dead Sea. Visit the excavations of Herod’s Palaces, the synagogue and bathhouse. Later descend for a float in the salty water of the lowest place on Earth. Travelling via Ein Gedi & Kalya, proceed to Jerusalem for the night. Rest of the evening at leisure. Day 3: Jerusalem New City
Today take a sightseeing tour of Jerusalem New City and drive to Mt Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony before continuing to the vault of the Shrine of the Book building located in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and home to The Dead Sea Scrolls. Then visit the beautifully renovated Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. This afternoon continue to Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust). Later drive to the picturesque village of Ein Karem (the birth place of John the Baptist) before returning to your hotel. Overnight - Jerusalem (B)
Day 4: Jerusalem Old City
Explore Jerusalem Old City today, passing through the Gates to the walled Old City, the renewed Jewish Quarter and the the Western Wall. Visit the Temple area with its colourful bazaars and walk Via Dolorosa taking the path that Jesus took to his crucifixion and finishing at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Then drive to Mt Zion and visit the tomb of King David and Dormition Abbey. This afternoon continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity before returning to Jerusalem for the night. Overnight - Jerusalem (B)
Beit Shean - Tiberias - Galilee. Leaving Jerusalem drive north through Jericho, located 16 kilometres below sea level Jericho is the lowest permanently inhabited site on earth as well as being considered to be the world's oldest city. Passing through the Jordan Valley, part of the larger Jordan Rift Valley, and the new settlements to Beit Shean with its ruins dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods where we visit the excavations of this beautiful preserved city with its Roman theatre and baths. Later proceed to Tiberias, named in honour of the Roman Emperor and legend has it that Tiberius was built on the site of Rakkat, mentioned in the Book of Joshua and the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament.

Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, the world's lowest freshwater lake and second lowest lake on earth (after the Dead Sea) and onwards to Capernaum located on the northern shore of Galilee, to visit the ruins of two ancient synagogue. Continue to a Kibbutz hotel for overnight. Overnight - Galilee (B)
Driving to the Golan Heights, the rocky plateau overlooking southern Syria and straddling the territory between Israel and Syria, visit the former Syrian fortifications, the Druze villages and Banias, the source of the Jordan River. Afterwards proceed via the Hula Valley to Safed, city of the Kabala, where you visit a synagogue and an artists colony before continuing to Nazareth, a pilgrimage city for Christians due to its mention in the New Testament as Jesus' childhood home, the city contains many biblical shrines. This afternoon return to the Kibbutz hotel for the night. Overnight - Galilee (B)
Day 7: Acre, Haifa & Tel Aviv
Upper Galilee - Golan Heights - Nazareth - Tel Aviv. After Breakfast continue west to Acre, an old Crusader stronghold boasting great medieval fortifications due to its coastal link to the Levant. Continue to Haifa, the largest city in northern Israel and dating back over 3000 years. Sightseeing includes the UNESCO world heritage listed Bahai Shrine and the magnificent gardens on the surrounding slopes of Mount Carmel spread over 19 terraces, the highest of which is the Persian Gardens offering panoramic views of the city and the bay. Then proceed along the cost to Caesarea to visit the Roman Theater and Crusader fortress before ending the day with a city tour of Tel Aviv. Overnight - Tel Aviv (B)
Day 8: Tel Aviv
Sunday. Arrangements come to an end after breakfast and onward transfer to airport. (B)
