Day 1: Tiberias
Welcome to Israel. We will pick you up from Tel Aviv Airport and transfer you to Tiberias and check you into the hotel. Overnight - Hotel Astoria.
Day 2: Tiberias
Beginning of Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee: Via Cana (place of the First Miracle) to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood), see Joseph’s Workshop and the Mt of Precipice (site of the rejection as described in Luke). Overview Galilee from Mt Arbel and proceed to Capernaum, the fishing village and the synagogue where He probably preached, Mt of Beatitudes (site of the Sermon on the Mount) and Tabgha (the feed of the 5,000). End the day with boat ride in Sea of Galilee in wooden boat replica of fishermen boats in times of Jesus. Dinner and overnight Tiberias - Hotel Astoria.
Day 3: Tiberias
Our guided sightseeing today will include Golan Heights: Mt Bental (see Syrian city of Quneitra and learn about Wars of Israel), Banias (Caesarea Philippi), Tel Dan (Jordan River source and Jeroboam’s Altar) and Bethsaida (the fishing town of the apostles). Dinner and overnight Tiberias - Hotel Astoria.
Day 4: Tiberias
Guided sightseeing - Haifa and Mt Carmel (Elijah and the prophets of Baal, Baha’i Gardens), Megiddo (Armagedon) and Sepphoris (Mona Lisa of the Galilee ), Yardenit baptismal site. Dinner and overnight Tiberias - Hotel Astoria.
Day 5: Tiberias - Jerusalem
Today we will head to Jerusalem, travelling via Caesarea, Jaffa, Ellah Valley. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem - Hotel Jerusalem Gardens.
Day 6: Jerusalem - Dead Sea
This morning takes us up to the Mount of Olives for the best view of Jerusalem. Nearby visit the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive tree. We enter the Old City to visit the Wailing Wall and explore the Temple Area with the Al-Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. In the Jewish quarter we visit the Synagogue. Walk through the Cardo and visit Burnt house which dates back Second Temple period. We continue on to visit the Via Dolorosa, the Convent of Zion sisters, the station of the Cross, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We visit Mt Zion, before returning to our hotel. Overnight - Hotel Jerusalem Gardens.
Day 7: Dead Sea - Jerusalem
We head through the Judean Wilderness to Dead Sea, Masada, Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls discovery) and back to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem - Hotel Jerusalem Gardens.
Day 9: Jerusalem
Today we explore the New City: Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, Israel Museum (Model of Jerusalem), Garden Tomb, afternoon Bethlehem. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem - Hotel Jerusalem Gardens.
