Welcome to Israel and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours! We'll meet you at the Tel Aviv international airport early this morning and transfer you to your hotel for check in. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of Jaffa, an ancient port where we enjoy a walking tour of the picturesque fortified town, see the House of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the hilltop views.
This morning we'll transfer you to Eilat, a popular tourist resort on the Red Sea (approx. 3.5hr drive). After hotel check out enjoy an afternoon of diving.
The Red Sea offers an unforgettable under water experience with spectacular corals and a variety of marine life. Enjoy the next two days diving.
Departing Eilat this morning we transfer to Masada, a UNESCO-listed fortress situated on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert. Ascend by cable car to the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Here visit the excavations of King Herod’s palace, the synagogue and bathhouse. The site also offers spectacular views of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. You’ll also see the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and enjoy floating in the salty, mineral-rich waters (weather permitting), before heading to Jerusalem.
Today embark on a fully guided coach tour of Jerusalem (shared basis), a World Heritage Listed city. From the Mount of Olives enjoy panoramic views of the Old City and Temple Mount before visiting the Western Wall, which is visited by thousands of worshippers every day. The wall sits in the shadows of the stunning golden Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. After taking time to explore, we walk the Via Dolorosa - the path which Jesus walked, bowed under the weight of the cross to the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Weaving through the labyrinth of alleys in the Armenian and Jewish Quarters, we arrive at Mt. Zion to view the Last Supper Room and King David’s Tomb. Later this afternoon we tour West Jerusalem including Parliament Hill.
Crossing into the West Bank today on a coach tour (shared basis) we arrive in Bethlehem and tour Shepherd’s Field and the Church of the Nativity. The picturesque village of Ein Kerem - birth site and Church of St John the Baptist is our next stop. Later this evening we transfer you to the international airport in Tel Aviv for your departure flight.
