Looking through the Siq at the Treasury

Day 1: Petra

Welcome to Jordan and the start of your holiday we will pick you up from the Airport and transfer you straight through to Petra.

Day 2: Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. Walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings and more the intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir better known as the monestery.

Day 3: Petra - Dead Sea

This morning early we drive to Wadi Rum the moonscape terrain T. E. Lawrence rightly described as "vast, echoing and God-like." Here enjoy a 4x4 jeep tour of the vast landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing rock formations known as jebels that rise from the desert floor, the desertscape of Wadi Rum represents some of the most stunning countryside on the planet. We then drive on to the Dead Sea.

Day 4: Dead Sea - Amman

After a relaxing morning we venture off to visit Mt Nebo, where it is believed Moses viewed the Promised Land, you can too the views stretch as far as Israel from here, then on to Madaba which is renown for its mosaics including the stunning 6th century Byzantine mosaic map depicting Jerusalem and other holy sites, located at the Greek Orthodox Church of St George. Small shops sell excellent copies of miniature mosaics enjoy free time here before before we visit the Bethany baptismal site then we head back to Amman.

Day 5: Amman - Jerusalem

This morning we transfer you to the Allenby Bridge boder crossing (Jordan guide drops you off Jordan side you make your own way through using the shuttle service). After passing customs Israel side our local rep will meet you and from there take you to the shores of the Dead Sea. Enjoy the opportunity to float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. When complete we drive to Jerusalem for overnight

Day 6: Jerusalem - Nazareth

First today a panoramic overview of the old City of Jerusalem. Along the Kidron valley view the garden of Garhsemane, the wall of the old city, via the Armenian Quarter, walk along Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and on to Mt. Zion. Drive through the city to visit Yad Vashem – the Holocaust Museum and enter Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity. Overlook the shepherd fields and return to your hotel.

Day 7: Nazareth - Tel Aviv

This morning it's of to Nazareth w visit the Church of Annunciation and St. Joseph's carpentry. Continue via Kfar Cana, then view the Mt. Of Beatitudes and the Church of Multiplication of Fishes and Loaves. Stop at Capernaum where we visit the City of Christ. Drive along the shore to Caesarea the ancient Roman Capital and port. Walking tour of theatre and archaeological excavations , end the day in Tel Aviv for overnight

Day 8: Tel Aviv

Today we bid you fare well from Jordan and Israel and await to meet you again in Egypt to start your group tour Jewel Of the Nile.
