Day 1: Amman

Welcome to Jordan and the start of your holiday! Arrive into Amman and transfer to your hotel, the Larsa Hotel.

Day 2: Amman

This morning we visit Jerash, the world’s best-preserved Roman provincial city, built over 2,000 years ago. Here we visit the Forum, the arena, where the chariot wheel tracks can still be seen, the Temple of Artemis and the South Theatre. We continue to Umm Qais, a dramatic black-basalt Roman city with panoramic views over the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3: Amman - Petra

Today, we tour the citadel, Archaeological Museum and enjoy free time in the local souq. Driving onward to Madaba we visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St George which has incredible 6th century Byzantine mosaics, depicting Jerusalem and other holy sites. Late afternoon visit to Shobak castle en route to Petra

Day 4: Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the Treasury. We’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings. Day 5: Petra

Today you will return to Petra. You will enter by al Madras, with visits to the High Place of Sacrifice, Wadi Farasa, Great Temple and the Royal Tombs. The more intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir better known as the monastery. Petra is endless and based on your preference and fitness your guide will show you many amazing highlights within the city.

Day 6: Petra

Today we visit Siq al Barid (Little Petra), the Northern Nabaten customs point outside the bounds of the city of Petra. Walk to the Baidha Neolithic site to visit one of man's earliest known agricultural settlements, over 9,000 years old.

Day 7: Petra - Wadi Rum

Today we transfer to Wadi Rum for a 4x4 tour of the moonscape terrain which T. E. Lawrence described as “vast, echoing and God-like.” The desertscape of Wadi Rum is truly stunning with its ancient riverbeds and amazing eroded rock formations. Later this evening enjoy a traditional Bedouin BBQ dinner at our desert camp.

Day 8: Wadi Rum - Aqaba

Enjoy breakfast at our desert camp before we depart Wadi Rum and continue south to the Red Sea resort of Aqaba. Hotel check in the and remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 9: Aqaba

Day 10: Aqaba - Dead Sea

Today we will descend to the lowest point on the earth’s surface, the Dead Sea. Take a dip in the mineral rich waters, where you’ll bob around like a cork - there is certainly no risk of sinking here! Overnight at the Warwick Hotel.

Day 11: Dead Sea - Madaba

Enjoy a leisurely morning before hotel check out. Transfer to the wonderful market town of Madaba where the remainder of the day can be spent at leisure exploring the many markets for last-minute souvenir shopping.

Day 12: Madaba

Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the international airport in Amman for your onward departure flight.
