Welcome to Israel. Arrive at Ben-Gurion Airport. After arrival of all 4 passengers, Transfer to Tiberias. Overnight Tiberias - The Scots Hotel Tiberias (Unique lake view double room).
After breakfast depart for Mount Tabor to visit the Church of Transfiguration and to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. On to Nazareth, where Joseph and Mary lived and Jesus spent his boyhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation. In the afternoon return to Tiberias for overnight. After breakfast start with a visit the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Capernaum the ancient synagogue and the home of Jesus where he lived and taught after leaving Nazareth. On to Tabgha, where the miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes occurred. Ascend the Golan Heights to see the fortifications and for a panoramic view of the Galilee. Early start - as we transfer you to Jerusalem. Drive to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Holy City. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations. Proceed to enter the Old City to see the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Great Temple at the time of Jesus. Continue through the picturesque Arab Market to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher - the Crucifixion site and the tomb of Jesus. Finish the day with a visit of Mount Zion, Last Supper Room and King David’s Tomb. Overnight - The David Citadel Jerusalem (Superior New City double room).
This morning you enjoy a couple of hours sightseeing in Jerusalem, before then being transferred to Allenby Bridge border. Met on the Jordanian side after immigration formalities by your driver, and you will be transferred to your hotel in Madaba.
Today we start early and drive north and visit Aljun, Umm Qais and then the the Roman ruins of Jerash. Recognised as one of the best-preserved member cities of the Decapolis, Jerash is deservedly one of Jordan’s major attractions. The traditional Roman street is very impressive and still boasts chariot ruts, the South Theatre boasts astonishing ancient amplification. Return to Madaba.
This morning we enjoy sightseeing around Madaba, including St Georges Church. We then transfer you t o Petra, with stops on the way at Mt. Nebo, Um Rasas, before we continue south to Petra for overnight.
Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. Walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings and more the intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir better known as the monestery.
This morning - On this day you’ll have a special permit to return through the Siq on horseback for an excursion to Jabal Haroun, Petra’s tallest peak. This mountain is believed to be the Biblical burial site of Aaron, short climb up rock-carved steps brings you to the medieval shrine which is supposed to memorialize the tomb of Aaron—and which also gives you a wonderful view over Wadi Araba, the Negev and the Shara’a Mountains to the north and south. Later, we drive you to Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is a vast, silent landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing eroded rock formations that rise from the desert floor. Tonight, we enjoy a Jordanian dinner.
Today after breakfast, we transfer from Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea for the night. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to Queen Alia airport for your departure.
