As well as being a site of pilgrimage, the Sea of Galilee also offers a host of outdoor adventures in a gorgeous setting. The Dead Sea is well known for its therapeutic waters and a perfect spot for a bit of spa pampering and rejuvenation. If some downtime and R&R on golden sands appeals, Israel's Mediterranean shoreline offers beautiful beaches and coastal charm. Tour was excellent, the guides were very knowledgeable and informative.

Itinerary was well thought out and covered everything we wanted to see. The organisation was very well done, with enough but not too many activities each day, and lunch fitted in well.

Accommodation was good.”

We had great time with the tour "Pyramids, Petra, Promised Lands - 18 days Combo tour", leg 1 in Egypt. The tour guide Mohamed Saiid (MoMo) is very knowledgeable and played the key role to keep the 'family' excited all the time. The tour not only gave us the expected (Pyramids, Luxor, etc), but also provided us a lot more of Egyptian culture, history, legends, which added much richer flavor than just stopping places. Overall, we are very happy to be in the tour, and will spread the words among friends about the wonderful experience in Egypt.”

My First time travelling overseas, and with a tour. I have to say it was pretty amazing!.

There was a bit of concern from some friends and family about the destinations, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. I felt completely safe the entire trip. I was a little nervous about entering Israel, put was put at ease when our Jordanian tour guide Olga changed his plans and escorted us out of Jordan towards Israel. The best country out of the three was Egypt. A special mention to Momo and Ahmed our Cairo tour guide and rep Combo! They were amazing and make for a great team.

They made us feel completely at ease, comfortable and safe the entire ten days in Egypt. No bathroom, or ATM was ever too hard to find. No problem that arose was too hard to fix.

A pinup example of a great and professional Tour guide/Representative team.

Would Definitely visit again!”

Highlights of a tour to Israel

We offer guide group based travel and private itineraries to Israel, including Nazareth, Galilee, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. With its colourful bazaars, tiny winding alleys and legendary sites like the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Sepulchre, exploring Jerusalem is like taking a step back in time. Israel is also known for its diverse and picturesque landscapes, from the Negev Desert in the south to the mountain ranges of Galilee, Carmel, Golan and the impressive Great Rift Valley and it offers a wonderful range of attractions. Nothing quite beats a bit of beach time R&R at the end of a cultural tour and we recommend combining a tour of the Holy Lands with a few days at Eilat on the Red Sea of a spa at famed buoyant Dead Sea.

Recommended places to visit in Israel

As the cradle of three of the world's major religions, there's a staggering wealth of religious monuments and sacred sites to seek out in Israel as well as modern cities and attractive bodies of water. Here's our pick of the best to get you started.

Dead Sea

Dead Sea | Israel

Once one of nature’s best kept secrets, today the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea attract throngs of travellers every year in search of its therapeutic properties and astounding beauty. No trip to Israel would be complete without rejuvenating body and soul here – bob in its warm turquoise waters, slap on some mineral-rich Dead Sea mud and while away the day.

Sea of Galilee

Sea of Galilee | Israel

Best known for its Gospel associations with Jesus Christ, the Sea of Galilee is a natural pilgrimage sites for Christians, but there is so much more to it. As the largest freshwater lake in Israel with beaches, hiking trails and water sports, the area is also a prime recreational spot. Travellers will find the ancient fishing village of Capernaum and the holy city of Tiberias on its shores too.

Jerusalem

Temple of the Mount | Jerusalem | Israel

At the forefront of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world and brimming with sacred sites, historic monuments and remarkably well-preserved architecture. Must-see sights include the beautiful Old City, stunning 7th century Dome of the Rock, revered Wailing Wall, Church of Holy Sepulchre, plus the amazing views from Mount of Olives.

Nazareth

View on map

Best known as the home of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, Nazareth contains a number of Christian holy sites. The Old City has a charming architectural beauty with narrow cobbled lanes just begging to be explored, while modern day Nazareth on the other hand is a vibrant Arab city with a small town feel. Make sure you visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, St Gabriel’s Church and the Greek Catholic Synagogue-Church.

Tel Aviv

View on map
Tel Aviv Coastline | Israel

Arguably the trendiest destination in The Middle East, Tel Aviv is where you’ll find modern art galleries, cool cafes, artisan boutiques, fine dining and wonderful theatres. Set on a gorgeous stretch of the Mediterranean coast, this ever-changing metropolis is Israel’s cultural capital but despite its modern vibe you can still discover remnants of its ancient past in Old Jaffa, just south of the city.
