Nothing beats the tomb of Ramses 5th at the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. As you venture further and deeper inside the tomb,  it  comes alive. Every inch of wall and ceiling is covered in the most beautiful rainbow of colours, intricately hand carved and painted, leading the pharaoh towards the afterlife. The tomb is 4000 years old but the artwork is still bright and glossy, as if it were freshly painted.

Last year I had a relaxing break sailing in Croatia. The water is crystal clear and you can see for miles. I swam everyday and then relaxed on board as we cruised around the beautiful islands; there are hundreds of them! My favourite night was the Captain’s Dinner when we all dressed up and had a delicious meal which included lots of freshly caught seafood. YUM!

We arrived late at night in Cappadocia in the heart of Turkey. Up early the next morning, we took a balloon ride at sunrise over the stunning “fairy chimneys” and other surreal rock formations of Goreme Valley. Then we set down the balloon, cracked open the Champagne and toasted the view. What  a great end to an unforgettable experience!
