Our tour guide Rami was excellent I found him to be friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited as well as about local culture and traditions. He was a lot of fun. This has been the best tour experience I have ever had.”
I had a truly amazing experience. Jameilah was super knowledgable and quite a character. Our driver Saed was great as well!!!
As a travel agent I was given alot of feedback from the other meembers on the tour which i promised I would share. There was some confusion as to why we were always taken to pricey restaurants and not to an area where ppl could pick and choose smaller portions and more inexpensive meals. On avg. lunch was approx 15 JD which was over all the passengers planned budget.
Also, the other main concern travellers had was the 7th day of the Totally Jordan tour the guide and driver were finished their work. ( Totally Jordan and the shorter Passage to Petra tour were combined togther). This confused passengers who were on the 8 day tour because they were under the impression that they had a guide and driver up until the day of departure (the following day). Those were the only concerns I was asked to share upon my return but all in all everyone truly had a great time.
I had such an epic time and met so many great people, thank you ON THE GO...I NEED to do another trip soon;)”
Friendly. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Personally, I would have preferred a bit less quoting/referencing the Koran and Islam by the guide, but other people on the tour seemed to be interested and encouraging it, so it is just a personal preference.
The Wadi Rum desert camp was rustic. I got many mosquito bites. I have previously camped in a desert many times by necessity, so this addition was not a new experience for me. Again, others might have got more out of it than I did.
Petra was very interesting. Jamilla gave a good tour with plenty of information and insight. It was larger with more walking than I really expected. I should have had better footwear ( i.e. Trail boots) than I did; I only have sneakers. I think future tour members could benefit from being informed of the relatively rough walking surfaces and perhaps a suggested packing list could be useful.”
